It is good value for money. I bought the dvd at asda for about £4.99 about 4 years ago and still use it!
Easy to follow. A series of exercises involving controlled movements, stretching and breathing.
The instructor demonstrates exercises on a step by step basis first. This is done before every excerise, giving advice on movement and breathing. Whilst doing the excercise yourself you are also given two alternatives to the movement. An easier and a more challenging. This was great to have as some exercises seem to simple whilst others I felt almost impossible to do. Although these options would have been best given before starting each movement as you feel you have to stop and start again. The moments are very controlled and in the dvd the instructor advises it is the quality of each movement and not the quantity - making you feel you don't have to be blue in the face to get anything out of the exercise.
Because of the 3 different variations to every exercise, it is suitable for all with any level of fitness.
The instructor in the dvd isn't annoying or patronising. The music is simplistic and relaxing but some might find it cheesey.
I noticed the woman in this dvd is excersing on a thin mat on top of a hard floor. I have hard wood floors but did not find I could do the exercises comfortably with my gym mat on the floor. We ended up buying a rug as the mat on the floor does not give enough support and the thick good exercise mats are extremely expensive.
After the workout I felt great and wanted to do more. After a period of time I mainly noticed the difference in my legs. I am only short anyway but they had a lengthened appearance. Also very defined without being bulky!

This was the second workoutdvd I purchased and I love it. Pilates is a type of workout that is not based on quantity of movements and works on the quality.
The presenter in this dvd is very friendly and explains everthing very clearly all the way through. The dvd itself shows beginner, intermediate and expert versions of each move so that you can progress slowly.
The movements are all floor based and require bending, stretching and some flexibility. Dont worry if you arent flexible yet, You will be .
I have don the workout 3 times now and already feel more flexibilty and toning.
The dvd has a great intro that explains breathing and how to do each movement. Then you can either do all of the exercises or select the ones you want to do. There are 2 that require rolling like a ball and I cannot do them yet so I just skip ...

When i first brought this fitness dvd i wasnt sure if it was any good or not. i had read some good reviews on amazon but there were also a few bad reviews.
i jhave to say those bad reviews were wrong because this fitness dvd is one of my favourie fitness dvds. The reason why it is my favourite is because it is so easy to follow and it acutally works. after using this dvd for a week i noticed that i lost quite a bit of weight, especially round my stomach and thighs. I felt more toned and it gave me more confidence to wera skirts in the summer to show off my brand new figure. I alo felt very relaxed after doing the dvd.
The dvd only cost me £5.00 which is a bargain as it is the best and easy pilates fitness dvd you will ever buy. ...

I brought this DVD as I'd previously done beginners yoga and really enjoyed that so I thought I'd give pilates a go.I decided to buy 'Pilates Weight Loss Workout for Dummies' as it was aimed at beginners, and it was only £4.97 from amazon. Pilates is great for toning, as it involves strengthening and strecthing muscles particularly in your midsection i.e stomach, hips and bum. This workout is also designed to increase your heatrate so that you burn more calories than with a tradtional pilatesworkout.
The DVD has two sets of exercises: a 20 minute standing routine and a 15 minute mat routine, which makes it a good length for doing in one go.
