phone booth awful film
Review of Phone Booth DVD by  marmy1

Advantages: lets you sit down for an hour or so
Disadvantages: the film

...I found this film awful. It is so boring. It is just a man who has had an affair and gets found out and so he is made to stand in a phone box. There is some twists to it but nothing that makes you sit on the edge of your seat. The only good point is that the policeman are actually cleaver. They can see straight away by things that are said that this is a set up. It is just annoying that it was boring. I think if there was more to the film than just watching a phone box it would be alright. For Colin Farrell this was not a good choice of film to act in but i suppose if your paid millions it really doesnt matter!!!!... Read review

different, tense and very thrilling
Review of Phone Booth DVD by  oblivion_nemesis

Advantages: unpredictable and very tense at times
Disadvantages: the fact the whole film is in the phone booth

...phone booth is a fantastic film. first because of the outstanding acting. second because this kind of story has not really been done before and thirdly, the thrills and suspense from the film. only one downside to the whole film is that the film doesnt go anywhere apart from this one phone booth. yes this is okay but 80 minutes in one spot, it does get fairly boring. overall, this is a different, must see film that would appeal to most people and will guarentee to keep you at the edge of your seat for the whole film. the cast is fantastic with colin farrell, kiefer sutherland and katie holmes and the acting is good. definately a big hit especially as this is a low budget film.... Eye Opening!
Review of Phone Booth DVD by  hyperellie1

Advantages: Great Acting, fast moving, funny (surprisingly)
Disadvantages: slightly depressing in parts

...This is a film about a self-obsessed guy who uses a particular payphone to call his would be lover behind his wifes back. One day the phone rings while he is in the phone booth and it all goes crazy from there on in as a mysterious sniper holds him hostage in the booth and forces him to confront some truths about himself. This film is really fast moving considering that 90% is shot in or around the phonebooth, and the acting is really good especially Colin Farrel. I thought that Katie Holmes was really good as the "girlfriend". Although mainly an action film, there is also some humerous parts which really make this plot seem more plausible. Everybody is just getting on with there lives oblivious to what's going on in the booth, until an innocent gets shot and the police turn up which makes the pace of the film speed up once again right...
