My 2 year old daughter loves Peppa Pig and has a lot of the toys available. It was therefore no surprise that she also wanted the DVD's.
All of the episodes have been on TV, however like lots of us grown up she loves owning DVD.'s . Watching her favourite episodes again and again.
This set comprises of the first 3 volumes of the Peppa Pig series being titled Flying a Kite and other stories, New Shoes and other stories and Muddy Puddles and other stories. She knows all the titles and can even quote line for line some of the episodes!
We purchased it from Argos at £12.99. Although I am not sure whether they still sell it , I am sure you can buy for a similar price elsewhere. This works out at just over £4.00 each DVD and is great value for money, especially as my daughter watches them loads.
It comes in a nice box set ,although each DVD also has its own standard case so you are not forced to keep in the box if you do not want to.
New Shoes and other stories has 10 episodes and lasts 58 minutes. Episodes are:- New Shoes Ballet Lesson The Tooth Fairy Treasure Hunt Not Very Well Windy Castle Pancakes The Museum Secrets Thunderstorm It also includes DVD extras - Learn the alphabet with Peppa Pig and "Put on your own Ballet Show" game
Flying a Kite and other stories also has 10 episodes plus DVD extras and lasts 51 minutes. Episodes are Flying a Kite My Cousin Chloe Daddy Loses his Glasses Hiccups Picnic Mummy Pig's Birthday Dressing Up The School Fete Musical Instruments Babysitting DVD Extras are Introduction to the characters and "Make your Own Music" Game.
Muddy Puddles and other stories actually has 12 episodes on it plus DVD Extras and lasts for 60 minutes. The episodes are:- Muddy Puddles Mr Dinosaur is Lost Polly Parrot Best Friend Hide and Seek The Playgroup Mummy Pig at Work Camping Gardening Bicycles The New Car Snow DVD Extras are two interactive games Jumping in Muddy Puddles and The Happy Mr Chicken Game.
If you don't like your children watching too much TV then I would not recommend getting this package as it has a lot of watching on it. However if you want value for money and maybe like me when you are woken at 6 in the morning and really want a rest, letting them watch these can give you a welcome break !
Personally as an adult I think the Extras are not that great but then again I am not a small child. I do in general find Peppa Pg less annoying that a lot of the pre school shows available. The characters have their own personalities that you can to an extent identify with or know someone who is like them (at least I think so).
