Muddy Puddles is part of my daughter's ever growing Peppa Pig collection.

I believe Muddy Puddles was the first Peppa Pig dvd to be released.

Peppa is a inquisitive little piggy who lives with Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig and her adorable little brother George. Currently airing an episode every weekday on Milkshake on Five (I believe it also airs on Nick Jr.), Peppa Pig quickly endeared herself to my daughter, with the bright simple animation, cute voices, interesting sounds and catchy but simple theme tune.

This series is excellent for younger babies in my experience as it is simple and colourful enough to hold their attention. My daughter is ten months old now and loves it (she even says peppa!), it ranks in her top three! She has been watching it for several months.

I love it because it isn't too grating as pre school programmes go, in fact sometimes I realise I'm watching when baby has gone to sleep (it's a sad life eh!). I personally especially like George who manages to summon a huge degree of cuteness for a cartoon pig!

This DVD contains twelve five minute episodes (the usual ten plus two bonus episodes) and 2 extras-
Jumping in Muddy Puddles (game) and The Happy Mrs Chicken (game).

1. Muddy Puddles
Peppa and George have fun jumping in the muddy puddles the rain has left in the garden. But remember, when you jump in muddy puddles, you must wear your boots!
2. Mr. Dinosaur is Lost
George's favourite toy is Mr. Dinosaur. He takes him everywhere, even in the bath and to bed. But one day Mr. Dinosaur is lost, and Peppa must be a detective to help find him.
3. Polly Parrot
Peppa and George have fun playing with Granny and Grandpa's pet parrot, Polly.
4. Best Friend
Peppa's best friend Susie Sheep comes over, and they don't want to play with George (bless!), that is, until they need a patient for their doctor's and nurses game.
5. Hide and Seek
Peppa and George are playing hide and seek. Peppa thinks George isn't very good at hiding, until Daddy Pig helps him. Then Peppa cannot find George anywhere!
6. The Playgroup
Peppa and George go to playgroup, it's George's first day. Peppa's not too happy about George coming along to "her" playgroup, until she realises all her friends like him. Then she shows George how to paint a picture, but instead of drawing a flower like Peppa says, George paints a dinosaur. By hometime, Peppa is very proud of her little brother, and wants George to come again.
7. Mummy Pig At Work
Mummy Pig is working on her computer, while Daddy Pig makes Soup for lunch. Peppa touches the keyboard, and breaks the computer, so Daddy Pig has to fix it. When the computer is fixed, Peppa and George play Happy Mrs Chicken (hence the dvd extra!).
8. Camping
The pig family go camping, but the tent seems a bit small. After the family make a fire and eat tea, it turns out Daddy Pig can't fit in the tent, but he says he'd rather sleep outside anyway. However, the weather has other ideas, and the rain means he ends up sleeping in the car.
9. Gardening
Peppa and George are gardening with Grandpa. Peppa thinks her strawberry plant will grow in time to have strawberries for tea, and George thinks that if he plants and waters Mr. Dinosaur, he will grow a dinosaur tree!
10. Bicycles
Peppa and her friends race on their bicycles to Daddy Pig's pumpkin. When Peppa has her stabilisers taken off, she has an unfortunate accident, but at least it means they can have pumpkin pie for tea!
11. The New Car
Peppa and her family are out for a drive when their car starts shuddering. Off to Grandpa Dog's garage for repairs. Grandpa Dog lends them a car which has lots of gadgets, including an electric convertible roof, but when it starts to rain, its not too easy to find the button to close the roof! Of course, as soon as the roof is finally up, the rain stops!
12. Snow
Peppa and George have fun making footprints in the snow, throwing snowballs, until Peppa throws a massive snowball at George and makes him cry. Then they decide to make a snowman. Unfortunately, the snowman ends up wearing Daddy Pig's hat, scarf and gloves, leaving Daddy Pig freezing! (Poor Daddy Pig always gets the raw end of the deal!).

The length of the episodes is also a help in holding the child's attention.

I really liked the gardening episode, mainly because Peppa and George are really cute in it! The snow episode is fun too, as it shows children the different games they can play in the snow.

I paid £9.99 for this dvd in Asda as part of a set of three DVDs, which was great value. Most of the DVDs will cost around 4.99 individually (unless it's a new release). Stocked in most supermarkets, woolworths, amazon etc.
