Ill first start off by saying if you’re a fan of peepshow you’ll know what its all about, and hopefully you already like it, and if your not a fan of peepshow, then where have you been all your life, wasting time watching things like Catherine Tate and little Britain probably.
Peepshow is a comedy based around two weird characters, mark and Jeremy, played by David Mitchell and Robert Webb. You might have also heard of these two from more recent work like the Mitchell and Webb look and their recent film the magician.
The thing that sets this comedy apart from the rest is that we get an insight into their minds, yes we hear exactly what their thinking, which is usually the complete opposite from what there actually doing. This just makes the whole thing so funny and it just reminds you of some of the things we do and say even though we don’t really mean it, and what really goes on in our minds.
For Christmas I got 2 hmv gift cards, so I went online and bought this DVD set as iv wanted it since it came out. It cost me £31.99 altogether, which may sound dear however looking on eBay for them, they are nearly going for that anyway and they might not have been new.
My favourite series is defiantly the fourth one, I actually missed most of it when it was on TV, so it was great to watch It for the first time, and its just complete genius. All the series are really good though, and it was fun to watch the older one as Id forgot what had happened scene as it was years since I last watched them on TV.
All series have six, 30 minutes long episodes and some extras too. The first series has Audio Commentary By David Mitchell, Robert Webb And Writers Sam Bain And Jesse Armstrong On Two Episodes, and Six Specially Filmed Stand-Alone Scenes as its extras.
The second series has Audio Commentaries Featuring The Cast, Producers & Writers On 3 Different Episodes, Deleted Scenes, Behind The Scenes Documentary and Gog\'s Film which is very funny.
The third series has Audio commentary by writers Sam Bain & Jesse Armstrong for Episode 1, Producer Robert Popper and Script Editor Iain Morris for Episode 3, and stars David Mitchell and Robert Webb for Episode 6, Deleted scenes with commentary by Series Producer Phil Clarke and Director Tristram Shapeero and Specially filmed scenes for Episodes 1, 3 & 6.
Altogether, this is a great buy for just £30, I have watched it many times, and will continue to watch it. I cant imagine anyone who wouldn’t find this funny, and even if you don’t, just watch it for its great story lines. So if you are already a fan you’ll know how good it is, but if your not then go buy it and give it a try.
