Just as th love plot thickens, the director cleverly takes the aim away from it, and the war begins. Thus makes this film not just a love film, but a story of heros and bravery, and loss and sadness. ...Right well this is an attempt to rectify the awful job I did on this review originally. I am the first to admit it was awful and at best just slightly cringe worthy!! So here we go... INTRODUCTION. Pirates of the Caribbean was released in the cinema in 2003, and released on DVD in 2004. It was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (Pearl Harbour) and directed by Gore Verbinski (The Ring). THE PLOT. The films begins with the sight of a large sailing boat emerging from the mist, standing on the bow is a small girl, Elizabeth, singing a song associated with pirates. Then one of the crew see's a young boy (Will Turner played as an adult by Orlando Bloom) floating on a raft, he brought aboard and the little girl is told to look after him. ...carrys on knowing that his love for Evelyn has kept him going but must move aside as she is now carrying his so called best mates child. But later in the film there's a twist leaving Rafe holding his baby and woman...It's a sad ending that does make you feel rather sad.
