Advantages: Dazzling Special Effects Disadvantages: Jerky dialogue. Doesn't click
and the effects are truly amazing. Though there are lots of inaccuracies about this film so don’t expect to learn anything from it.
PearlHarbor gets a 12 certificate from the BBFC, which is rare for a war film. Though apparently the film was edited slightly to get the 12 rating. Obviously there’s a bit of violence in the film, though nothing as graphic as Saving Private Ryan. There’s also some mild swearing.
Is it the best war film ever? No. The gigantic budget failed to woo me over to think that, though I rate it as the best war film ever for special effects.

Although a surprise military attack by Japanese forces was a theoretical ...
Advantages: Great special effects Disadvantages: Doesn't stay true to the actual events, love story is way too sensationalised
PearlHarbor is the 2001 epic war film based on the real events of the attack of PearlHarbor during World War II. The film was made on a budget of $151,000,000 and grossed an estimated $449,220,945 at the box office. Despite doing incredibly well at the box office this film bombed (no pun intended) with the critics, largely because of the sheer inaccuracy of the movie from everything to how the bombs drop to the lead characters taking down numerous planes while in the air, not to mention the love story between the three main characters. The film is rated 15 and runs for approximately 183 minutes.
Michael Bay directs the film, he?s a director that many people love to hate and has received more critism for PearlHarbor than any other film in his career. He has however been involved in some fantastic films (directing or producing) such ...
