Well, the only other exercise video I have done was one of Cindy Crawfords. Maybe it's just me, but it's not my idea of fun to be sweating in my front room whilst watching perfect Cindy looking gorgeous, never faltering, located on a beach, or at the foot of a mountain. Oi, Cindy, nooooooo! How inadequate do you want to make us feel? ... ...dance to" (which is what Patsy says on the back of the video). I suppose that's down to personal taste though.
I will admit to not having done the video many times but that's more to do with my lack of will power in general rather than the quality of the video.
I think this vid would be fun to do with your friends because you could have a laugh and encourage each other. It is a very different video to the perfect ... more

Oi, Cindy, nooooooo! How inadequate do you want to make us feel? Some people may say that looking at the beautiful ones inspires us, but it makes me want to give up and not waste my time trying!
Anyway, onto Patsy. I've always found her down to earth (she married a taxi driver, not a film star) and a good actress (Rickeeeeee!!!!!). The video promised me a routine that's "a real laugh to do", and "real chart music". Sounds good. I love clubbing, dancing and chart music (well, some of it) but could do with toning up a bit (couldn't we all?)
So, curtains firmly closed and unflattering joggers and baggy T-shirt adorned, I gave it a go.
I have to admit, it's a lot more fun than most exercise videos. The moves have names like "crazy knees" and if you can't keep up at any point, you can just dance like a loony. It does get more difficult as you go along though, so if you are not very well co-ordinated you may find parts difficult (I did!)
My only drawback was the music. I recognised some of the tunes, "woman trouble" (from Summer 2000) being my favourite. Some of the songs though, were not what I would call "stuff I'd really want to dance to" (which is what Patsy says on the back of the video). I suppose that's down to personal taste though.

It is a very different video to the perfect Cindy type, much more suited to the average slightly self conscious British woman (ok men may want to join in too, although my boyfriend refused point blank). Patsy is very likeable and she chats to the instructor about how hard some of the moves are, so you don't feel alone!
The routine is set in a nightclub with a live DJ. Patsy and her trainer, Niki Wibrow dance on the stage. They are both wearing nice clothes which are trendy but practical for exercising in. Patsy wears black stretch trousers with studs up the side and a black sleeveless top with a flower on it. She claims to have "lost a stone in weight" by following this routine.
Maybe if I could actually be bothered to do it more than once a year then I would lose a stone too!
On the whole, I recommend this video. It's fun and you don't think about exercise as such, you just want to keep up with the dance and shake your body to the beat, baby! (Which can only be a good thing, methinks).
The video lasts for 49 minutes but you can always just do it for fifteen minutes at a time if you are too lazy to do the whole thing at once! It costs £10 or less and Patsy also has a new video out called the Urban Workout. I don't think I will be buying that one though, sorry Patsy! I will master this one first..some day!
And as a plus with this video, you can try out the dance moves when you go out! I would personally have to be VERY drunk before I started to do the "Crazy Knees" move in a club! What about you?

...figures). The fitness instuctor that patsy palmer uses is called Nicki Wibrow. The workout in my opinion is for intermediate - experienced. As they dont really explain all the exercise, which was alright for me because i'm an experienced exerciser but i wouldn't recommend it for beginners. The actual workout it fantastic! It covers cardiovascilar workout and also tones your body, which will help you lose weight. There is not much floor work covered ... ...wanted to tone those unsightly areas (you know what i mean girls!!!) The work out is put together with dance music by a DJ which is all chart music so it really does feel like your in a club. All the exercises are based on dance moves. After completing the workout I found myself feeling relaxed, less stressed and energised. The day after i ached a little but thats good, means its working! I really enjoyed this video and found it good value for money. ...

Advantages: Different to the usual boring workout videos as its based in a nightclub Disadvantages: If you're not super co-ordinated,forget it.Patsy Palmers twittering can be a tad irritating.
...bit daunting and boring but Patsy Palmers club workout caught my eye.It was a bit different and promised "you'll lose weight,tone up and have a laugh!"It cost£9.99 and lasts 49 minutes,great!
Its set in a nightclub & basically you follow the instructor,Niki,as she bellows over the dance type clubby music what to do.Either I am seriously unco-ordinated or this video is really difficult,I'm not sure which(I suspect both!)This video certainly isn't ... ...entitled crazy legs require major concentration to get your arms and legs going in the right direction at the right time.I know excersise videos arent meant to be easy but I thought I may suffer heart failure whilst trying to do some of these moves!I think this vid is best kept for the already super fit amongst us! ...

...and it seemed worth buying. Patsy Palmer's Club Workout is a wicked way to lose weight and it really is fun. You learn dance steps to real club music and you never get bored. It isn't too difficult to do, but i think that it's more suitable for younger people, well people under 40 i'd say. I'm not saying that people over 40 couldn't do it because some of them would, but with the dance tracks and complicated dance steps it could prove to be slightly ... ...on when you first start, but once you've played the video a few times you'll get the hang off it. The music is wicked, and it isn't the annoying cheesey music you get on other workout videos, it's real club music. The workout lasts for approximately 40mins, and it's a good idea to have some water with you because it is a very good workout.
I've only been using it for a week so i can't tell you whether it works or not, but i'll update in a months ...

Advantages: It is good enough fun to do often enough for it to have an effect. Disadvantages: Some moves might be too hard on the knee joints.
As I am certainly middle aged and quite overweight I finally decided that I wasn't going to go to a gym or whatever and bought this video. Actually, it was because my daughter said she'd do this one with me and not the other one I fancied. So it's one that can be shared by the generations. The moves are quite tricky to get first time round but they do become second nature. You can do them in a more energetic manner as you get fitter. I did it regularly ... ...butI was watching what I ate as well.
It is quite fun but like everything you watch over and over you start to notice little things about it. Watch out for Patsy's trousers splitting a little bit and listen out for her swearing at the end of one of the energetic sections. At least she looks as if she needs to do the programme and doesn't make you feel totally hopeless.
It is a cheap way of becoming more active and is generally pretty basic exercise. ...
