I am Ozzy Osbourne, Prince of Darkness

Advantages: Funny
Disadvantages: Over the top swearing

From little acorns ... A vague half formed idea has become one of the most awesome, addictive of TV series, piloting first in the States, and now available to we inhabitants of Blighty via the otherwise bland MTV, The Osbournes is the new Crossroads, a real life version of The Simpsons, with all the black humour and evil that you get in the best camp horror films. Of course, all the attention and headlines are totally soaked up by their particular form of mid-Atlantic Brummie Speak, which goes along the lines of this: "F*** me, Sharon, you c***, what the f*** do you think you're f***ing doing?" "Shut up, Ozzy, you c***." A more couth translation goes along the lines of "I say, my dear, what are you playing at." "I'd rather not say at present." All the outrage and protestations, of course, come from people who do ...

Review of The Osbournes

Ozzy mania

Advantages: Ozzy at his lyrical best, teamed up with Wylde. Nostalgic!
Disadvantages: Very few. Still, doesnt beat his previous work.

As i slipped in the CD into my ever faithful combo drive, the starter track sent goosebumps through me! Honestly, this is the least i've exaggerated in days! The sounds were an alloy of modern and heavy, with both spooky and marrowy guitar and bass parts. Surprisingly there's still plenty of nostalgic glam-rock guitar squeals, and I guess this is what the 80's rick would sound like if they had better distortion effects back then. Although Black Rain doesn't have a very original name, (considering that there's two novels, a Japanese movie, an American movie, a German music label and a Dark Lotus music album with the same title) the sounds are still absolutely original. From Ozzy's lyrical inspiration to Zakk Wylde's insane guitar, which is deeper and sounds more like sludge metal than recent releases, this album certainly deserves ...

Review of Black Rain - Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy - No More Tears ~ 8/10

Advantages: It rocks, overdosis of great guitarplay.
Disadvantages: 3/11 tracks are not that good, which leaves 8 songs.

seconds. The music ties down, solid drumline backing his vocals. The music is not that extreme or whatever, but it really is enjoyable, even though after track 6 no track can satisfy me anyway, even though the outro really rocks. One thing though, for a song called 'Hellraiser' you miss the evil music, its great, but does not really fit a 'Hellraiser' like title. Track 8. ~ 'Time After Time' ~ 4:21 ~ 9.5/10 Now THATS calm for a intro. Ozzy opens his mouth at 20 seconds, and it really is calm, starting with good lyrics and nice singing, together with some people. Wondering where the drums and guitar are at? Lurking in the shadows of the Prince Of Darkness untill like 45 seconds. This sounds again like a track with great music, but with the mainfocus on what he is saying, just like in track 3. The solo at 2:10 is so great, again it does ...
