~Introduction~ **************** Ozone will change the world, literally.
~The Movie~ *************** Detectives Eddie Boone and Mike Weitz are on a stake out when they spot The Crime bosses top henchman and Mike trails him but disappears in the process. Eddie sets out to find his partner but ends up being injected with a mysterious black drug. This new drug has strange effects on Eddie and he is soon in the thick of a huge conspiracy involving intelligent transforming zombies. Which he himself may soon join if he doesn't crack the many leads and puzzles standing in front of him. Oh and he needs to stay alive along the way, what with looking for his partner, attempted assassinations from the crime boss and his own drug and DNA changes he has his work cut out for himself. The only advantage he has is as he changes he becomes more like the 'Brothers'. The Brotherhood of Ozone is a new and potentially world changing sect and Eddie finds himself at its heart.
~Opinions~ ************* I normally avoid zombie movies like the plague, no pun intended, except 'Shaun of the Dead' of course. However this one has a cracking Sci-Fi twist that puts a new spin on the whole genre. The special effects are not that special and the zombie make up is poor. There is next to no background of the main characters and they just 'get on with it' right from the start of the film. The story trundles along at a good pace which is its saving grace.
The ending is poor as though the director wanted it all over, it just ends too quickly.
