Big Train - Series 1 & 2

Advantages: Great comedy. Fact.
Disadvantages: Underrated...very underrated

Well then, it's been a while, so please ignore if this is a little rusty! Scouring through the DVD's and CD's in my collection, I came across Big Train, which after watching, had to be reviewed! Written by Graham Linehan and Arthur Matthews, the people who brought us Father Ted, this is an awesome sketch show, which unfortunately was often overshadowed by the likes of the Fast Show. Starring actors and actresses at the time who were relative unknowns, they have since become big names in British comedy, such as Simon Pegg, Kevin Eldon, Mark Heap, Catherine Tate and Julia Davis. The first series was produced in 1998, with a second not coming around until 2002, despite its popularity. The Young Ones DVD - Series 1

Advantages: Awesome episodes - a classic t.v. sitcom produced to be as the original was
Disadvantages: not sharper image, no extras

The DVD is a simple set up and plays striaght on to the episodes, you can select play all, or view one by one. It contains the whole of series one of the young ones. The episodes are as follows; 1. Demolition. This is the first one ever and we see an intro duction to all the characters, including the landlord who has various other roles throughout the series. The basic plot appart from setting up and introducing characters is that the guys are living in their accomodation they have done for some time when one day they recieve a letter from the council informing them that their house is to be demolished. Naturally Vyvyan throws a tantrum and decides to beat them to the job ...

Bob the Builder - Bob's Big Adventures DVD

Advantages: Fun packed and worth every penny
Disadvantages: none to mind

identity as Bob's Dad is accidently put in charge of the job.Bobs crew gets excited by stories of the Knights of Camelot and decide that they will take on new identities - even to the extent that spud takes it upon himself to "accept" a quest to find a suit of armour.Whilts all this is going on Bob's Dad is outside trimming the hedges of a maze - and he manages to get himself lost in it!
