Outkast's Aquemini is liquid magic

Advantages: Top-Notch Lyrics and Flows, Unique Production, Originality, Variety, Humorous, Subject Matter
Disadvantages: A Few Weaker Moments

mixed with singing and the extreme ease of their delivery, basically showcasing how they are able to use their breathing techniques to deliver a top-notch track. Definetely a classic and a perfect lead single... Wu-Tang Elite Raekwon the Chef joins Big Boi and Andre on "Skew it on the Bar-B", another thumping party joint. Everybody drops tight flows and verses, and the collaboration is in perfect harmony. However, its not just a regular party joint, because Outkast are extraordinary artists. We get a mix of complex lyricism, braggadiocio, some light storytelling, executed with a multi-syllable flow. The beat is a simplistic, yet complex P-Funk beat, matching perfectly for these three emcees to rip apart the mic with. "Aquemini" is a socially conscious view on life by Outkast. The beat features the the traditional P-Funk sound effects ...

O Brother, Buy This DVD!

Advantages: Hilarious, wholesome, engaging, clever, complete!
Disadvantages: DVD extras are only useful for the returning fan

In about every five years, one film will come our way that would go on to be immortal in the annals of film history. O Brother is one of those films. From start to end, I was fervently engaged in this story as it unravels against the Depression era background with almost balletic pacing. In fact, some have described this film as half belonging to the musical genre. Trust the Coen brothers to come up with a film of such rich contextual detail! But even if you're not familiar with or don't enjoy the works of Joel and Ethan like Fargo, The Big Liebowski and The Man Who Wasn't There, this film will surely mark the turning of the tide because it projects the widest audience appeal. Not only is it entirely wholesome and suitable for the family (and this would usually lead to genre restrictions), it would entertain everyone from the nerdiest ...

Food For The Soul

Advantages: Feel good Flick
Disadvantages: Bit predictable

In most families, one person holds everything together, keeping traditions going, organising events, sorting problems out, offering the right advice, generally it’s know as a Matriarch, well Big Mama (Mama Joe) is the head of the family within the Drama, Soul Food. Every Sunday for the past forty years Mama Joe has organised Sunday dinner every single week without fail, even during the bad times, she always pulled it off providing a feast of food for the whole family, generally referred to as Soul Food, the kind of food you throw together whether it’s good or bad for you and there’s no need for recipes as your instincts will keep you right, well that’s the theory anyway. Vanessa L. Williams plays Teri, Mama Joe’s eldest daughter, who may have a well paid job and a great career but she appears to have ...
