Advantages: original series, classic family entertainment, reinforces great values Disadvantages: lack of episode continuity within the series in distribution
...throughout the world while facing many personal challenges. This particular disc is a follow onto Vol 1 (I will review that when I locate the Caio listing), and contains 5 episodes. The episodes are:
The Big Star Round-Up (episode 7, series 2)
The Camp Out (episode 8, series 2)
Bravest of the Brave (episode 10, series 2)
The Long Lost Care Bears (episode 11, series 2)
Birthday Bear's Blues (episode 12, series 2)
The disc is 110 minutes long, and the episodes appear to be complete and unedited. the transfer from film is excellent, and the sound is clear and unmuffled, which is a niggle I often find on cheap DVD editions. Advantages: Great Value For Money Disadvantages: Doesn't include extra's like the Smeg Ups!
...This is a great DVD showcasing series 1 to 4 in a nicely presented boxset, thats all twenty-four episodes including 'The End', 'Future Echoes', 'Balance Of Power', 'Waiting For God', 'Confidence And Paranoia', 'Me2'...
If your looking for the added extra's and smeg up's of this popular TV comedy then unfortunately these aren't included.
For the die hard Red Dwarf fans out there you might prefer to buy the separate series boxsets with all the added extra's, but if all your looking for a nice compact DVD boxset of the first 4 series (which are the best in my opinion) then its definately worth buying.
At around the same price as buying two separate series DVD's its great value for money too....

Advantages: Cheaper by the dozen Disadvantages: Maybe classed as geek
...After making extra space on the shelf, I put Series 7 up along with the rest, I smile knowing that all is good.
1 Box, 6 Disks, 22 episodes.
I paid £49.99 in HMV and got there last one, then spent about 18 hours in front of the telly, with pizza -meat feast if you wanna know.
Each individual dvd is normally just under £20
so 20 x 6 =120
Save quite a bit, and you get a cool box.
Series 7 is another thrilling part of the Stargate ride.
Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) has returned to SG-1 after being acended. Richard Dean Anderson is again Amazing as the the lead Character Col. Jack O'niell (Two l's) And gets the ancients knowledge downloaded in his head again. and there is another Jack O'niell now
Amanda Tapping plays Major Samantha Carter. is the brillient scientist/Military person who is in love with Jack her CO
