Private James Ryan becomes a symbol for Captain Miller and his men, because his going home would represent them all going home.
This is about as complex as ‘Saving Private Ryan’ actually gets, it is book ended by two massive battle scenes. In between we witness smaller fights alternate with quiet, setting the mood throughout the film, giving the audience time to know the characters, Spielberg ensures that each character is portrayed as an individual for whom we can grieve if and when they die.

...Were do I start? This film is legendary in every aspect and depicts epic scenes you will never forget with a story to match.
300 is based on the original graphic novel by Frank Miller who previously did an adaptation of the film Sin City.
300 is set in 480BC and starts off by introducing the town of Sparta. This is a civilisation who was born to fight in combat and has a well respected king, King Leonidas. A messenger comes from the 'God king' Xerxes who tells Leonidas, Sparta will be the next town to surrender under his power. Leonidas reacts to this by kicking the messenger and his men into a nearby well.
Leonidas soon finds out that Xerxes bribed Sparta's religious elders. Due to this Leonidas, by Spartan law cannot use his army to defeat Xerxes. So Leonidas upon himself takes 300 volunteers/bodyguards and marches them to the Hot...

Advantages: Great dancing, lovely story. Disadvantages: Comparisons to first film.
...The first thing you need to do when watching 'Dirty Dancing 2' is totally put the original Dirty Dancing out of your head because this film has absolutely nothing to do with the first. A lot of people had been misled that it would be a continuation of the first when it was announced that Patrick Swayze would be making a cameo appearance, but blink and you'll miss him. Originally titled 'Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights' they have obviously changed the title for the DVD release to capitalise even more on the original.
