Advantages: Well acted, great story. Disadvantages: None.
In my humble opinion this series never received the critical acclaim it deserved. With superb acting, particularly from Christopher Eccleston, and a deeply moving and interesting story line, it was one of the best BBC productions for many years.
A great cast was assembled and the story was told in a clear and dramatic fashion. I am amazed that it hardly ever gets mentioned these days as I truly believed it to be a masterpiece of it's time.
