I bought this huge boxset becuase I simply adore Only Fools And Horses. Its a wonderful classic british comedy with constant gags and no end of laughs. personally, I feel that this truly is the greatest comedy to hit the screens in the UK. Some of moments of comic genius written by creator John Sullivan are on a completely different level to anything else seen on British TV. Anybody will enjoy this series, as all the actors work together brilliantly on screen to generate countless hilarious moments.
The programme follows David Jason's fantastic character Derek 'DelBoy' Trotter who is your typical cockney trader, living in a council flat mid towerblock. 'Del' lives with younger brother Rodney (Nicholas Lyndhurst) who also plays an excellent role and from 1981 - 1984 with grandad. The programme focuses on the brothers and there attempts to become rich; Trotters Independent Traders, there business generates most of its custom from the black market, and they supplyan array of illegal and often hilarioulsey low quality goods. A classic phrase from
the show "This time next year, we'll be millionaires" is a frequent saying of Del's and everytime you hear it, it becomes funnier - I promise you that!
And the series go on, the cast expands and early minor characters such as Trigger, Boycie and Uncle Albert are introcuded, including my favourite character, Denzil - a lorry driver who gets involved with some of Del's creative ideas (often hilarious failures!) with some classic dialogue between the pair. Also as the series go on (around at series 4 -5) a regular plot became apparant and episodes became linked much more often which created an incredibly interesting storyline.
The laughs in this show come mainly from the two standout chracters, Del and Rodney - who despite there age difference have an incredibly close bond and interact with one another brilliantly on screen. Uncle Albert also is involved with some classic comedy moments with Del and Rodney aswell as some heartwarming moments which show how despite his wheeler deeler approach he is deep down a very family orientated man. Rodney's gormless character is also the marker for plenty of laughs as Trigger often points out, which is hialrious in itself due to his natural stupid nature! Other ongoing gags include simply Del's car, his delapedated Reliant Regal van which always seems to break down (unsurprisingly) at the worse times!

All 64 episodes are found on this boxset, unfortunatly none of this christmas specials are, which is a huge shame!
Overall this boxset is simply a MUST buy, with all of the epiosdes in one place no longer do you have to make sure you know where you at when watching the replays on Uktv Gold or DAVE, you have them all there in one place. I have probably watched all these episodes around 4 times over at least and they just get funnier and funnier as you see things which you didnt first time around. If you've never seen the programme before, or only seen a few episodes here and there I tell you now BUY THIS BOXSET!!! I promise you hours and hours of constant laughter!!
Its a phoenomenal series, with a brilliant director John Sullivan and some superb roles played within! BUY IT NOW!
