Only fools & horses were on the tv back in the days when I was a spotty faced teenager, therefore my interests back then were chasing the girls and going to the pub, I never had time to sit in and watch programmes such as only fools. But that was back in the day and now im older (and supposedly wiser). I received the box set as a xmas present which I must admit sat dormant for a month or so. Then one depressing sunday when i was bored witless I decided what the hell, lets watch the boxset. After that I was hooked and sat and watched the first 5 series one after another, each episode more funnier than the last. Well worth the money in my opinion. The thing that makes this series the funniest ive ever seen is the characters, not just the main characters Del-boy n Rodney but the supporting cast is fantastic too, grandad, boycie, uncle albert, and the main man, Trigger, you just cant help smile and laugh at their misadventures. So if your feeling sad or depressed then go spend a few quid and be instantly cheered up by watching only fools and horses, in my opinion the best sitcom ever made, and the thing about this sitcom is it gets better and better as it goes on. Without giving too much away, my fave moments have to be batman n robin, the blow up dolls, rodney pretending to be 15, Del-boy falling thru the bar, lol, theres so many comedy classic moments, this really is money well spent and one of the best, if not the best xmas presents Ive ever received. Go buy it NOW!!
As it says there are 7 series in total, although there were a number of christmas specials which arent included, so if I was you I would look out for the complete set. The first couple of series are half hour shows with a xmas special, the episode length increases to 1 hour around series 4 and there are between 8 and 12 episodes per series. I have seen the full set available from Asda retailing at over £100 but I would personally shop around, I reckon you can get it cheaper.
