I have written about the background of only fools and horses in all of my reviews and anybody who likes to read my reviews will be aware of how much I love the series.

Before you buy any of the series if, they regularly sell them on buy one get one free offers at stores such as Woolworths so if you can be patient you can have twice the enjoyment!

Anyone for those who have never seen OF&H it is based around the Trotter brothers Del Boy and Rodney . They live in a near area estate in Nelson Mandela house trying to scrape by selling the rubbish Del Boy gets his hands on through his contacts.

Del has been a Jack the lad, a wheeler and dealer and a yuppy but it is now time for him to develop into a modern man. He does this by reading a book called "The modern man". He gets all the advice he can from this book because it must be true if it is in text and decides to be a responsible modern man and have a vasectomy. It is a classic line as he is sitting in bed with Raquel and he just comes out with it. He does however decide not to go through with it after having nightmares about Doctor Singh doing the operation. (doctor Singh has been trying to hunt him down).

Rodney also starts to get concerned about his future, he is an expectant father and is still working for Del Boy as a gopher. He applies for a job advertised in the local paper which sounds like his perfect job (it is his job and he speaks to Del on the phone, this scene by itself is worth the money).

Cassandra is rushed into hospital with a miscarriage and Del gives Rodney one of his big brother talks which show his sensitive side that we sometimes see. Even though in floods of tears he still makes me laugh at the most heart distressing moments as he walks in and starts wailing himself.

As mentioned earlier wait until they are on special at places like Woolworths where you can buy one and get one free, as you will complete your collection for half of the cost!

I find it hard to rate any of the DVD's as anything but excellent as they all have quality moments. I would recommend that you start at the beginning if you are new to the series and you will be able to follow the show from the start. This way you will be able to enjoy the family and grow with it. (That may sound sad but wait until you get into it).
