only fools and horses has got to be the best classic comedy that you can watch on TV, and this box set has them all, every single only fools and horses episode that has been released, including all of the christmas specials. Whether you enjoy watching the episodes with grandad in the early episodes, or later on when del boy loses his millions!
Every single episode is sure of being hilarious, with del and rodneys jokes and not quite so legal games.
----------The Characters---------
Derek Trotter - This character is played by David Jason, and is one of the two main characters, alongside his younger brother Rodney. In the episodes, del is a cockney wheeler dealer, selling anything her can get his hands on in the markets, although much of his stock has usually fallen off the back of a lorry! One of his sayings is "this time next year, we will be millionnaires!!" This finally does happen in one of the last ones, but he ends up losing all of the money, (wont tell you why)
Rodney Trotter - Nicholas Lyndhurst - Rodney is Dels younger brother, and works for del doing the donkey work selling in the markets. In the end he becomes financial advisor of the trotters business. In one episode, del buys a consignment of reject briefcases, which are all locked, and have the combination inside! The financial advisor, advises del to "chuck the bleedin' lot in the river".
Uncle Albert - Buster Merryfield - Uncle Albert joined the Royal Navy at the age of 17, where he won 7 medals, mainly due to the fact that he was on 7 ships, which sunk in the space of 4 years! After this he joined the merchant navy, where he fell down many pub cellars in the south east! One if his most common quotes in the episodes is "During the war....." !!! Another famous quote from uncle albert is "No, I'm the only one in our family who ever went to sea. I tell a lie. My Grandmother's brother was safety officer on the Titanic."
Grandad - Lennard Pearce - Doesnt come across as the smartest card in the deck, but he has faked many illnesses throughout the episodes so he gets his own way! In his younger days, he managed to find himself a nice little earner during the Spanish civil war, gun running. He was very careful who he was working for in spain, who ever paid the most money!! Grandad also caused the "down fall" of dels chandalier cleaning business, by breaking them, ( a very funny episode )
Boycie - John Challis - Boycie os the local second hand car dealer. for a long time, boycie was the richest of dels friends, and he is arrogant with it, although he does enjoy the company of del and co. Boycies main hobby is rather exciting, breeding tropical fish, wow, a very interesting bloke. Boycie is married to marlene, she spent years pining for a baby, and as boycie was not interested, she treated duke, her dog like a surrogate off spring! until marlene finally fell pregnant with tyler.

i bought this boxset because i love every one of the episodes that has ever been released. But for people not quite so sure should probably purchase individual episodes that are available, from almost all DVD shops, amazon, and also on ebay, as the £200 price on the set is rather expensive if you arent going to enjoy the comic genious of del and rodney. The perfect gift for any only fools and horses fan!!
