The Story-
Series 2 kicks off where series 1 ended. Lucas and Keith have moved to Charleston, Dan has just had a heart attack and Haley and Nathan are married. The introduction of a number of new characters- Anna, Felix, Jules and Chris- keeps the story fresh and interesting and provides many of the twists of the series. This series gives us a much greater insight into the characters- we find that Haley can sing and write songs and we even start to wonder whether Dan is quite as bad as we thought.
This series gives Karen and Keith a much bigger role as they both find new relationships (sadly not with each other) but in Tree Hill things are never going to be as simple as they seem. Brother and sister, Felix and Anna hit it off with Brooke and Lucas and Felix manages to wind everybody up. He organises a dare night full of great dares that makes excellent viewing. Peyton has a mystery stalker claiming to want to interview her after she arranges some great gigs at Karen's new club, Tric. There are some great appearances from acts like Jimmy Eat World and The Wreckers. Mouth has a much bigger role in the show as well, he becomes very close to Brooke and at the end of the series he finally gets a girlfriend! He was great in his small role in series 1 and it's nice to see him get his own storylines. Jake also has much bigger stroylines and Jenny's mother returns to take her from him. It's a gripping storyline with a lot of twists and turns and some great acting as Peyton becomes involved. Nathan and Haley's marriage is threathened as Deb and Dan plot to split the two up. Chris also causes problems between them as he is spending a lot of time with Haley. An appearance from her sister does nothing to help the situation. The Music-
Once again, the soundtrack to this show has to be the best around. It doesn't fail here, it even improves. With even more variety and more live performances, this show is definitely unique.
The Cast-
As with series 1, the acting is superb and you feel the actors have even more of a connection with their characters than before. This gives the programme a bigger sense of reality and it is so easy to relate to it. The introduction of Tyler Hilton as Chris was a great casting choice. He plays the 'rockstar' role perfectly and is a total contrast to James Lafferty (Nathan). Dan Scott- Paul Johansson Karen Roe- Moira Kelly Nathan Scott- James Lafferty Peyton Sawyer- Hilarie Burton Brooke Davis- Sophia Bush Haley James- Bethany Joy Lenz Deb Scott- Barbara Alyn Woods Keith Scott- Craig Scheffer Mouth McFadden- Lee Norris Whitey Durham- Barry Corbin Felix Taggaro- Michael Copon Anna Taggaro- Daniella Alonso
Extras-
The extra features on this box set are great. Even more additional scenes than the first series, this provides a lot more entertainment and the introductions by Mark Schwahnn are also really interesting. The behind-the-scenes footage of the One Tree Hill Tour, cast and crew American football match and on set action is something every One Tree Hill will love.

Advantages: Carries on the good work Disadvantages: None
The second season of One Tree Hill consisted of 23 episodes and ran from September 21, 2004 to May 24, 2005. I have already reviewed what One Tree Hill is in my review of the First Season box set but I will give a little overview of the show here also.
The show revolves around the fictional town of Tree Hill set somewhere in North Carolina and is filmed there also. The main characters of the show are two half brothers, Lucas and Nathan who share ... ...main girl characters include Peyton, one of Lucas's on/off girlfriends who is very into her music, Brooke, captain of the cheerleading squad, another on/off girlfriend of Lucas and Peyton's best friend. Hayley makes up the trio of main girls. A lot of the show is played out with voice-overs, often done by Lucas to describe events and how things happen. To me this gives it a very good effect and makes the storylines definitely more dramatic and exciting. ...

Advantages: Terrific acting from all, great storylines, many twists. Disadvantages: none.
Season two of 'One Tree Hill' contains everything you would want from a teen drama; humour, secrets, betrayal, complicated relationships and many twists and turns along the way!
The show uses basketball as a backdrop for the show, but really the focus is on the lives of five teens who live in the town of Tree Hill. Season two starts where the first season left off. New characters are introduced and there is alot more trauma to come!
The show has ... ...think it is completely different and very entertaining.
I would reccomend this show to anyone.
Another thing worth mentioning is the music, very well selected, and in very good taste. The genre of the music is mainly alternative or rock.
Starring Chad Michael Murray and sophia bush, both terrific actors and both very attractive. ...

Advantages: Good story lines, Good cast. Disadvantages: Another teen drama
If you liked the first season then you will love this as it goes deeper into the working of the Tree hill gang and things change for the Scott brothers.
In this season new characters are introduced and original characters develop.
Covers a whole range of issues which todays teens can relate to but keeps on the edge of reality and fantasy which enables an escapism for the viewer.
A good teen drama which has it's Dawson's creek like sub plots but ...

DVD Description
Picking up where the first season left off, Season Two of this popular night-time soap begins with Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Keith learning that the perennially-villainous Dan Scott is in the hospital after a heart attack. Though neither Lucas nor Keith harbor warm feelings towards Dan, they decide that moving back home to Tree Hill is the right thing to do. Upon his return, Lucas is greeted warmly by newlyweds Nathan and Haley, but not so warmly by Payton and Brooke, who bonded over their shared hurt when Lucas took off without saying goodbye. Lucas is also met by a whole new school year filled with more angst and drama than the year before. There to stir things up even more are newcomer troublemakers Felix, his sister Anna, and a host of other characters. Highlights of the season include marital problems, new love attractions, drug addictions, blackmail, and the opening of a music club which showcases not only Haley's emerging musical talents but also those of real-life artists such as The Wreckers, Tyler Hilton (who also plays a minor on the show), and Jimmy Eat World.
