Due to the age of the pice the fim is a little grainy at times, but I thought it all added to the "wet weekend in Wales" feeling.
The "film" is made up of five, separate one hour editions (disc one has the first three, disc two has the last two editions) and as well as that there is two additional editions which have comments by the director all the way through. I don;t tend to watch things like that because I find it a bit irritating (like having your mum phone you half way through a film). There is however an interview with the original cast, Spencer Leigh looks really different. But it might just be that he is the member of the cast that nooone has actually seen seince Caravaggio!
There are no other extras in the same vein as other DVD's. no outtakes, funnies, Easter Eggs etc. This is just a straight forward simple telling of a story, and what a good story it is.
All in all, this is a great set of short films put together to make a really long film but as long as you can nip off every half hour and make a cup of tea, its a real Sunday night treat.
It was released originally on channel4 after the watershed, so has liberal douses of bad language and podd sexual references. I wouldn't recommend it for younger teens.
Advantages: Three Movies in One Set, Fab for Cliff Fans Disadvantages: Each Movie could Support its own disc plus bonus material
It was a sad day for Britain when Cliff Richard and the gang boogied off of our screens for the last time, but fear not! They are back to a man in this three movie bumper pack.
Yes, Cliff, Una (Stubbs), Melvin (Hayes) and Co once again brighten our screens in 'Summer Holiday', 'The Young Ones' and 'Wonderful Life'. There's nothing to quite compare to the kooky schemes in these movies, be it driving a red double decker from London to Athens, shooting a movie in secret or saving their youth club in these nostalgic glimpses of a more innocent time.
Filmed before Cliff became the 'Peter Pan of Pop', these three movies show him at his heart-throb best, wooing a succession of beauties (including Susan Hampshire and Laurie Peters) and performing the clean brand of rock n roll that he is, sadly, no longer known for.
The movies are ...
Advantages: You do tone up Disadvantages: You need a good space to perform the routines properly
Well at the start of the year I promised myself instead of talking about toning up I would actually this time do something about it....surprisingly I did and I feel great.
One of the tools I used in my bid to shape up and get fit for Summer was the brilliant Latina Size dvd.
As a fan of Strictly Come Dancing I thought this would be a fun way to shape up (and I liked the idea of learning some moves!).
The dvd is broke down into 5 sections: Simply Salsa, Rumba Tone, Jump 'n' Jive, Cha Cha Burn and Sambasize. Each one targets a different part of your body so you can alternate depending on what you want to work out. I got into the routine of focusing on the Jump 'n' Jive sections at least twice a week to help tone the dreaded thighs! There is also a warm up and cool down section.
Lilia's goes through all the moves first showing ...
Mel come across amazingly as a Farther of 7 who is forst into fighting for his country after one of his sons is taken prisoner at his house. This film defenatly earnsit 18 citificat with legs fling left right and center so if you don't like gorr this is not the film for you.
The film has a suprising cast with Odo From Startrek DS9 and Galen from B5s Crusade amoungst others.
The film is going to be one of the Hits of the summer with Gladiator and MI2
This is going to be on my DVD list next year so watch it ...
