Advantages: gripping, good plots, cast Disadvantages: Not the best yet
...I first got into watching Doctor Who at the start of Series 2, airing in Christmas 2005, and caught myself up with Series1. Series3 provided great entertainment too, and I couldn't wait for the 4th series to begin. When the first DVD in the series was released early in June, I simply had to add it to my collection straight away.
Doctor Who started way back in 1963, with William Hartnell playing the Doctor, a last of the Time Lords from Gallifrey. His performance must have been as immense as the nation is still obsessed with this gripping programme, 44 years later!
Since then, we have met 10 Doctors, and adored every one of them! This Doctor (10th) is played by the lovely David Tennant, living up-to-date adventures in his big blue box, more commonly known as a TARDIS. But the Doctor does not travel alone! In the 21st Century, we have...

Advantages: great show, good characters Disadvantages: it's the last one!!
...into the programme in around series3, so then had to buy 1 and 2 on dvd so that I could catch up from the beginning. Since then I have watched all 5 dvd's many times.
COST
+++++
The dvd's are available priced around £8-£15 per series, or I believe that a box set of all 5 series is being released today for £69.99.
There is talk that a Cold Feet reunion will be filmed one day, showing the characters 20 years on, so that is something to look forward to, although it won't be the same without Rachel....

First screened in America in 2005, Grey’s Anatomy re-flamed the interest into medical style TV series after the lacklustre repetitive attempts by the ER team and constant rhythmic efforts by Holby City over here in the UK. Winner of the 2007 Golden Globe Award for the best television series, Grey’s Anatomy is so noticeable for it great cast of characters that all portray their roles perfectly and that are too so realistic that anyone could associate themselves with them. The DVD comes across 3 discs with 14 episodes that make up the first series.
(NOTE: Series1 was later cut from 14 episodes to 9 but the latter 5 still appears on Series1DVD though used as the beginning...

Advantages: The Audience Get To Find Out More About The Friends Deeper Disadvantages: Nothingg
...This eighthth season of Friends picks up just moments after Monica and Chandler said, "I do." This Makes The Series Much More Thrilling, Adventurous And Funny As A New Era Will About To Take Place.
Although, the main focus of this season is firmly on Rachel's pregnancy, which makes the series more exciting as the story progresses from fatherhood revelations in "The One with the Red Sweater" and "The One Where Rachel Tells..." toward complicated new feelings for Rachel, Ross, and Joey, Which Ends Up In A Very Thrilling Way When The 3 Experience Crush;s, And True Love
Overall This Particular Series Of Friends Is A "Must-Buy" Series. In My Opinion Its One Of There Best Series Ever Created And If You Havent Seen It, You Must Purchase This Straight Away....

Advantages: Great to watch over and over again Disadvantages: price of new videos
...The brilliant TV show Friends, is also available to buy on video, although it is becoming increasing difficult to track down older series as DVD becomes more popular. You can buy up to series 7 on video, with six video in each series. On each video there are four episodes and each video last approximatley 90 minutes. You can buy the first 3 or last 3 videos in each series in a cool storage box. It is also possible to buy a storage box with 2 series in it. The videos retail from 5.99 (pounds) for older videos up to 14.99(pounds) for newly released episodes. If you are a friends fan I would suggest all of them although it won't come cheap, it is certainly worth it....
