means this collected boxset of the television adventures of Blakey, Butler and co runs to in excess of a staggering 1900 minutes. That's a lot of buses, a lot of entertainment and a very healthy dose of laughs. Most of the laughs, of course, are generated by the eclectic collection of characters. Top of the bill, and as endearingly funny as he always was, is the harassed Inspector Blake, aka Blakey, whose run-ins with bus driver Butler and his partner in mischief Jack form the magic triangle on which much of the show's success led. But spare a though too for the equally endearing side characters, none more so that Stan's long-suffering sister, Olive. Now granted, across the many, many hours you get in this collection of On The Buses, there are a fair selection of duff episodes, and it's unlikely to be the kind of programme you'd ever try to get through in one or two sittings. But there's a real, definite charm, regular chuckles and plenty of underrated writing bubbling beneath the surface here, and the end product is hard to resist. Perhaps wisely, the three, lesser, big screen adventures were left out of this set, but completists can pick them up perfectly easily in a boxset of their own.Yet this particular On The Buses box is all about the programmes themselves, and there's plenty contained within both in numerical and qualitative measures. Even for the most casual fan of the show, or those with a healthy interest in classic British sitcoms, it's a terrific buy. --Jon Foster

Advantages: It's exciting and addictive! Disadvantages: Can get a bit confusing sometimes
...in all its a fascinating show which soon becomes addictive!
My favourite episode from this boxset is probably 'Maternity Leave', it focuses on Claire and shows what happens when she was kidnapped by one of 'the others' in Series 1.
I love the design of the boxset itself, I prefer the design on this one to the Series 1 boxset. The 4 DVD cases also have different pictures of the characters, and the discs are nicely designed.
It's the kind of show that if you miss one episode then you will be completely 'Lost'. Thats why it is good to have the boxset!
The extras on the DVDs are also very good, there are lengthy featurettes, deleted scenes, bloopes and commentaries. However I found the menu for the extras quite confusing and complicated...just like the show!!
This boxset is a must have for all avid fans!...

Advantages: conveniantly packaged, good series, lots of laughs, very amusing Disadvantages: quite short series
...I purchased the complete Blackadder collection for £35 at HMV and it was certainly money well spent. I think the acting and humour is top notch and it features 4 of televisions greatest actors of all time "Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Rowan Atkinson and Tony Robinson). very wry and witty this is a great box set to buy if you want some top quality BBC made entertainment.
However, the entire 4 series only adds up to 14 hours,so i feel that the box set should be a little cheaper as you can buy the entire Jeeves and Wooster collection on the Play.com website for £25 and that amounts to around 18 hours and over 20 episodes. On the whole i was immensely pleased with the product. If you are a fan of the series then this is one boxset you will not want to miss out on.
when regarding the actual product; the boxset that contains the 6 dvs...

Advantages: Very well presented, lots of special features Disadvantages: Commentaries only for certain episodes
...Seinfeld was one of Americas longest and most loved sitcoms. Lasting 9 seasons in total, Seinfeld broke new ground by being a show where nothing happened.
This Dvdboxset contains the first 2 seasons. Season 1 is only 5 episodes long as the network wanted to test the water before commisioning more episodes. The series did only mildly well however a 2nd series was commisioned as although the ratings weren't great Seinfeld was popular with the notoriously hard to reach young males.
The Dvdboxset aswell as the episodes contains 13hrs of bonus features. Commentaries, notes, interviews and a documentary charting the ideas behind and the beginning of Seinfeld. The menus on each of the 4 discs depict scenes from the show and are easy to navigate.
The special features do repeat the same material a bit and there are only commentaries...
