Any takers for a great DVD?

Advantages: Al Pacino
Disadvantages: Too long; dubious soundtrack

When this movie was first released I missed it at the cinema, and was disappointed, as I try to see anything with Al Pacino in it, and “Any given Sunday” had received good reviews. Now that I have seen it I have mixed feelings about it. Al Pacino is great in it, and it’s a typically detailed and lengthy movie from Oliver Stone, something which based on past experience should have been in its favour. But, I finished up not really enjoying it that much. It’s a movie about American football, and a lot of the footage features stadium action, or backroom talk of tactics. Any Given Sunday Soundtrack

Advantages: One inspiring track and 2 other good additions and thats it
Disadvantages: Too many fillers and the whole thing jumps around with no thought in track listing

. These two usually rely on their flow to bring the track home but if youre not a fan the beats dont do anything for you so id have to put my thumbs down for this. Sole Sunday - Goldie Mob & Outkast Some dialouge from the film included in this but nothing too much else to report on it. Its just a bit boring really and Andre 3000's uplifting raps dont really give it much lift and the wasy it just fades out at the end with a pitty 'well i tried' feel just sums it up really Shut Em Down - LL Cool J. Ok one of the stars of the film, this is gonna be good. Wrong. Quick raps and shouting fom the man but not great. Its a filler i think he had to get in the cd just so he had some involvement Shut up - Trick Daddy, Trina, Deuce Poppi & Co of the tre+6. Review of Any Given Sunday [PA] - Original Soundtrack

Every Given Sunday For Me

Advantages: Storming cinematography, strong pace, great acting
Disadvantages: might not like it as its about American Football, script a littel lacking compared to the other parts of the film

the performances and the cinematography. It's a long movie, about 2 1/2 hours, perhaps about 15 minutes too long, so pop plenty of popcorn and sit back for an in your face look at american football. The extras on the DVD are superb. There is a very interesting commentary from Stone about the whys and wherefores of the movie and how it was built. The second disk contains most of the extras though. Deleted / extended scenes. 3 music videos, A making of documentary, the different marketing images that they came up with to sell the film in different markets ( the UK & America have different covers, montage of the football scenes, a photo gallery, a quiz, a script to screen trace of one of the vital scenes and a detailed look at the editing process for a scene and how the decisions are made for specific angles and cuts.
