Advantages: Really good bonus features that are well worth the money alone
Disadvantages: Not a complete concert

Firstly, this is one amazing DVD! I was there, at both gigs, at the age of 11 with my big brother, and I can honestly say that this DVD captures the vibes that were at both of these gigs. I still get goose pimples when I watch it now. In fact, this is so good, I bought it again on DVD when it was re-released, having previously bought it on VHS in 1996. ...were at a concert seeing oasis live. With theis DVD that is very possible.. Pure excellence. This DVD is ram packed with tunes from the good old days. No-one is saying Oasis have lost it, not by a long shot, but everyone also knows that the tracks bouncing out in the early nineties were absolute magic. ...songs to be moderately easy to play. However i did see this dvd on e-bay and at only £3 curiosity got the better of me so i bought it. The first thing i will say is that immediately obvious that Noel Gallagher is not anywhere to be seen on this video!! However, Guitar ace Jamie Humphries (who?!?!?) gives you a note-by-note guide to five massive Oasis hits being Live Forever Champagne Supernova Don't Look Back In Anger Wonderwall Roll With It The dvd is watchable and does give away some "secrets" and ifluences which Noel uses in his song writing. It also teaches you every riff, chord and solo piece in each song. All in all a good dvd that will teach some young up and coming Oasis fans the style of Noel Gallagher, however for me personally I just didnt really get it with some strange guy playing Oasis songs. Advantages: Oasis, Fantastic Performance.

...Live by the Sea was recorded at the Cliffs Pavilion, Southend-On-Sea on April 17 1995. It shows oasis on top form performing all most all of the tracks of their debut album Definitely Maybe as well as some of the B sides like 'Acquiesce' and a magnificent cover of The Beatles 'I Am The Walrus.' A great performance by the Gallagher brothers and the atmosphere of the live gig is captured brilliantly. This Performance shows just why Oasis are one of the greatest British bands. In my opinion this is Oasis best live performence. This DVD is only flawed by the lack of extra's. However still a must have for any Oasis fan. Advantages: A superb insight into one of the best debut albums ever
Disadvantages: Dont bother if you dont like the album or band

...Every now and again there is one album that really stands out. I’m sure everyone has one in their collection that really takes pride of place. For me there only is one choice, the debut album from Oasis, Definitely Maybe. It was never meant to be a great album, in fact according to Noel no one was ever even suppose to hear it. Instead it became the start of Brit Pop and quite possibly the best debut album of all time, but that’s just my opinion. I’m not the only one who thinks that though as I know of countless other people who love that debut album as much as I do. So when it was announced that Oasis were going to release a DVD about the album I knew I had to have it. It’s now been 10 years since it was released and to date it’s still the best Oasis album of the lot with Wonder wall a close second. The DVD shows a new side... Read review
