My earliest memory of Norman Wisdom was rushing home from primary school (I would be around 7 years old) and my mother just putting a video into the machine I had a feeling she was sick of Scooby Doo and Rainbow!,on came a film which was taped halfway through,it was black and white, for some reason I just sat and watched it as there were just so many funny moments, this guy I thought(and still do) has such a gift, the film in question was called Follow a Star and there is a scene in there where he sees a physchiatrist and he has to pretend he is an 18 month old and then a 5 year old,so many times I have rewound that part and replayed it over and over again I think Norman Wisdom really can have that effect on people. Here a slightly balding Norman Wisdom appears live on stage minus his cap(after 5 minutes) but still in his classic 2 sizes too small suit with Tony Fayne at the Playhouse in Harlow,Essex. The funny walk, the laugh, the jokes and the way he literally just clowns about will have you laughing your heads off.Popular in Albania especially Norman has a go at everything the saxophone, trumpet, piano, clarinet, drums as well as sing his own songs.Tony Fayne orchestrates and bullies Norman at times as they act scenes out from some of his earlier films including The Square Peg and The Early Bird, but Norman as always never backs down and when given the chance gets the band too play in his own unique way.He plays to the audience who cant help but warm and respond to his different talents.Norman shows why he received a BAFTA for one of his memorable films in Trouble in Store and in being voted Britains best comedian many times. As this was recorded in 1989 by Millenium / Conquest Productions to buy this will only cost you a maximum of around £8 I have seen them go for £4 on ebay which I think represents outstanding value as if you ask me in 50 years time this DVD will still appeal funny to the then generation. What are you waiting for add it to your collection or if you haven`t a collection start one off with this.As you can probably tell I think he is ace!!
