Alan Ayckbourn is probably one of the greatest comedic playwrights of his generation. His plays are extremely well-executed looks at the frailties and foibles of everyday life and of "ordinary" people.
The NormanConquests (staring Tom Conti as Norman) was made by Thames Television. It is a series of individual plays that cover the weekend of a weekend at a house in the country.
The play are entitled Table Manners, Living Together, and Round and Round the Table. The audience is allowed to eavesdrop on a series of happenings and events that all involve the characters who are living at or staying at the house over the weekend.
The events start at about 5.30 on the Saturday afternoon and continue through until a little after 9 on Monday morning.
Each play is complete of itself, but you would miss the joy of watching everything ...

All of the harry potter films are fantastic action adventure films. I think that they are brilliant films to watch with your family as all the films have a great story. In my opinion the harry potter series is one of the greatest of them all. Reading the Harry potter books help with the story line but it is not needed as it is very easy to follow compared to films like the Matrix ect. The Harry potter films are a must see in my opinion. I think that if you dont watch them you are really missing out on something great. Im really looking forward to the final film if it's anything like the others it is going to be fantastic. For Christmas one of my parcels from my parents was a bag full of books, which included three Elizabeth Chadwick books. Elizabeth Chadwick is an author of historical fiction and being a fan of this style of book I was rather looking forward to reading one. The book I chose to read first was The Conquest and sat down to devour it from cover to cover. Unfortunately however the book just wasn?t for me and although the premise of the book interested me I can?t say I particularly enjoyed reading it.
