success ofFour Weddings and a Funeral. But he stumbled twice: first with this mundane comedy and then by being arrested after soliciting a prostitute near downtown Hollywood, the week before the film opened. Directed by Chris Columbus (Mrs. Doubtfire),Nine Monthswas a weak reworking of a French film about an ageing bachelor (Grant) who can't decide whether to commit to the woman he loves (Julianne Moore). When she becomes pregnant, he still can't make up his mind and winds up blowing hot and cold on the subject of fatherhood, which causes tension in the relationship. There's a lot of low comedy involving Grant's best friend; Tom Arnold plays this ultra-married and child-ridden suburbanite, who makes fatherhood look like a living hell. Robin Williams has a funny cameo as a foreign doctor but in the end, the sentiment is ladled on and Grant doesn't have nearly enough funny material to work with.--Marshall Fine

Advantages: an enjoyable yarn Disadvantages: very predictable
Plot: Basically Hugh plays a tormented English Man who is going out with an American woman who gets pregnant. Hugh's reaction isn't brilliant, as he just sees a child as a problem. Will he overcome his fears and make the commitment to become a dad. Not a typical romantic comedy, but is very good.
Acting: Robin Williams delivers excellent comedy value as the Russian peadtricain Doctor who used to be a vet. Hugh's performance is good ... ...somewaht a little redundant. Julianne Moore plays the pregnant woman well and is convincing.
The film itself is good but it would be nice to see Hugh play a psychopath or something different than a bumbling posh English idiot, though he's very good at it. In typical romantic comedy style there's the inevatiable break up scene and shock horror, they get back together by the end of the film.

Best scenes. The delivery room where Hugh and his best mate end up beating each other up, and then hug as there babies are born at the same time. Also in a baby store a creature called Arnie, a lot like barnie keeps singing and they end up hitting him.
A verry feelgood film that pulls at the heartstrings, and shows what men do feel sometimes. High;y worth watching, but watch it on tv.
Advantages: Learn how the men react to pregnancy! Disadvantages: -
Hugh Grant plays the part of an unsuspecting father and his new found role in the world when his wife declares that she is pregnant.
She handles it fine and is looking forward to the day that the baby comes along but, Hugh – obviously being a man, is in absolute shock that he has to sell his car.
After a while they break up and plan to go on the their separate ways and Hugh tries to live up to his loose living friends standards (which doesn’t ...

Advantages: The DVD is split into manageable 10 minute sessions Disadvantages: You have to have the willpower to use it regularly
after ninemonths eating healthily, working out daily for 20 mnutes with this Rosemary Conley DVD and the Wii Fit I have virtually no cellulite - not bad for someone who plans to get her bus pass in the next twelve months!
Would I recommend it?
Yes I would. It worked for me and used in combination with sensible eating it has helped me to a more toned body and a slimmer outline. The routines are varied with a range of levels to choose from. I think I have certainly had my money's worth out of this DVD which is more than can be said for many of the others I bought. It is available on Amazon for £12.98. ...

So what exactly is The Hills?
The Hills isn't a film or TV drama but it is a reality programme produced by MTV. It follows the lives of four girls living in Los Angeles. The show isn't scripted and everything that happens within the show is actually the girls' real life.
Fans of Laguna Beach will already be familiar with Lauren Conrad. After appearing in MTV's reality programme Laguna Beach, Lauren, (or LC as she was formally known by her friends) has moved to Los Angeles for a new life in the city.
The Hills is a spin off to Laguna Beach, and also follows three other girls, Heidi, Audrina and Whitney.
The show began filming in August 2006 over a ninemonth period and shown on MTV before being released onto DVD. Even though it is now two years old, for some reason it has only just been released onto DVD in the UK.

to 5" though I would like to after watching the movie and loving it, despite the fact that the show no doubt doesn't have the magic or fresh humor of the film. Just to let you all know: the show is not available on DVD, though it might be eventually someday.
However, the film NINE TO FIVE was released on DVD only a few months ago, and it is available for only 8 GBP at www.amazon.co.uk. The DVD has a delightful audio commentary with Fonda, Tomlin, Parton, and producer Bruce Gilbert that I loved listening too; Parton is especially hilarious, cracking jokes in just about every scene. Probably my favorite part of the documentary is when Fonda actually confessed to have been fired from a secretarial job for not sleeping with the boss; in response to that, Dolly said, "Hell, you had it good; I slept with the boss and still got fired ...

DVD Description
Samuel Faulkner's (Hugh Grant) fruitful, happy life completely falls apart when long-time girlfriend Rebecca (Julianne Moore) suddenly announces she's pregnant. The thought of fatherhood and responsibility terrifies Samuel--who just happens to be a child psychologist. Although he does try hard to get used to the idea, the months fly by without a change in his attitude--clearly, he still does not want a baby. So Rebecca, fed-up with his infantile behaviour, walks out on him. Miserable at the loss of his girlfriend, Samuel begins to reconsider his life, and eventually realises that his existence can only be complete if Rebecca-- and okay, their child--remain a part of it. Now Samuel must find a way to convince Rebecca that he's not only ready for fatherhood, but for (gulp) marriage as well...!
