...Ok first of all i think that just about everyone has heard of 50 cent regardless of weather you like his type of music or not. This review is all about a dvd and bonus cd of 50 cent that i brought from a second hand music shop. The DVD ----------- This DVD was made in 2003/2004 so most things that i refer to from now on in this review relate to that time of my life etc. . There are 4 parts to this DVD. PART 1 The Documentary. ------------------------- 50 cent the new breed is the first documentary on this dvd, it explores in detail the life of 50 cent, from when he was coming up in the streets as a nobody, to his dealings that led to him being shot and surviving, right through to what has made him the greatest rapper of the year. Advantages: Documentary, half a gig and 4 promo vids!
Disadvantages: At 95 minutes long, it just doesn't seem long enough

...to purchase 3 of these 4 videos on the singles at the time of release. Nothing new here for alot of people. Let's just spend a few words reflecting on the length of the DVD. The documentary is not quite 30 minutes long as it claims on the front of the case, it's 27 minutes and 17 seconds long. The 50 minute live concert is 49 minutes and 12 seconds long. I might be quibbling over minutes and seconds here, but I thought 80 minutes for the main feature was short enough as it was, but really it's closer to 75 minutes. When it was released, Kelly told the official Stereophonics website that this DVD was aimed at existing fans and not aimed at attracting new fans. Also on that website, we're told that there is another DVD scheduled for release shortly which will be a complete documentary of the band's 10 year history. With that in mind, you do... Read review

Advantages: Interviews with the band
Disadvantages: changing scenes

...to see specific scenes over and over as they are so entertaining. Most of the songs preformed are from the band's latest (2004) album "American Idiot" which is seen to be quite controversial in that there are many references to war and politics in the lyrics. However, this is not a new move for Green Day. They have always been modest but truthful and in 16 years, have never lost their punk undertones. I don't think that you have to be a huge fan of Green Day to love this DVD, but it would be a good idea to listen to some of their music first and get a feel for them so that you can really get the full experience from Bullet In A Bible. One of the best things about seeing them live is Billie Joe (the lead singer). This guy knows how to work a crowd. Aside from supplying killer lyrics and guitar riffs, he is a true entertainer. He...
