An amazing movie worth watching, it has everything, drama, action, comedy etc etc. An overall good movie. It stars Jackie Chan, a really wonderful martial artist cum comedian, he mixes his wonderful fighting styles with amazing stunts and even creates a comedy scene with that which leaves the audience rumbling with laughter. The story deals with him being initially a cop, who is later removed from the post cause of his drinking habits. He then joins teams with another fellow police officer who in the end turns out not to be a cop, all this to stop a gang of thiefs and robbers who are very intelligent and really great at the art of fighting. It takes almost evrything out of these people to stop them in the end.
Advantages: a good story line, plenty of famous HongKong actors and actresses Disadvantages: I prefer Maggie Cheung to Charlie Yeung

Advantages: Jackie Chan against Tae Kwon Do, Disadvantages: He is getting old
His first Police Story movies were heartfelt with justice and morals, I never thought he had any more of that acting in him, but he proved me wrong with this movie, it was completely emotional from the point of him losing his comrades in the force to him trying his best to save his girlfriend, The story is about a gang of rich kids who have brought heavy arms off the interent, and have begun a game of robbing banks, only not to get away, but instead ... ...them for points, their actions are then changed into a online computer game, which leads to hints of their next hit, Jackie the Super cop was over confident and loses all his comrades to their traps, and ends up an alcoholic, till a young officer appears and gets him back on his feet, to put and end to them ...

Advantages: AMAZING FILM Disadvantages: for many the fact its subtitled
If I had to sum this film up in one word then it would be AMAZING but since I have a minimum of 120 I can put a bit more lol. First I would say the film is a must for any Jackie Chan fan however this film differs from his usual films. In previous films we see Jackie as the comic unlikely hero whereas in police story there is a much darker plot. The film begins with the demise of Jackie Chan's character after an investigation led to his entire unit ... ...chance for Jackie to demonstrate his acting skills and he certainly rises to the challenge. Whilst I would recommend the film to Jackie Chan fans, you do not have to be a fan of his or even of Martial Arts to enjoy the film since it contains comedy in the form of Jackie Chan's one liners, it contains romance with his relationship which breaks down after the investigation, of course the film contains action with numerous fight scenes and finally it ...

I love this movie sooo much, in this movie, Jachie Chan act a police, the culprit who Jachie Chan want to arrest is his boss's son, it makes it job become harder. Finally, he take those teenager culprits to jail. The photography of this movie is very good quality, I l ike the music as well. This is certainly new. It's not a continuation of the previous PoliceStory series of movies by Jackie Chan. And this is very much a different style. This one is much darker than the previous titles.
Jackie Chan plays Inspector Chan Kwok Wing. At the start of the movie Chan is intoxicated and collapses in an alley.
A flash back. Chan and his squad are called upon to deal with some rich antisocial youths who have robbed a bank. The squad is lured into a hideout, to find traps around every corner. Chan's men are killed off one by one, until only a couple remain chained to the ceiling. Chan loses two bets with the youths, and two of the men are dropped from the ceiling to their deaths.
After these events Chan takes a year long leave and drowns out his sorrows with alcohol. He wakes up to find that Frank Chang, played by Nicolas ...
Advantages: Jackie at his best Disadvantages: None.

I hope their forthcoming "NewPoliceStory" disc will match too but, sadly, nobody distributes "PoliceStory III: Supercop" on DVD in the UK and "PoliceStory IV: First Strike" is not marketed as such in the UK (it is called "Jackie Chan's First Strike" and was distributed in edited form by New Line and Entertainment in Video). ...
Inspector Wing is a burnt-out Hong Kong cop whose motivation died when the rest of his police team was wiped out at the hands of a wily and brutal new gang. When--against the odds--a rookie cop rouses the weathered Inspector to go after the gang, however, there is no stopping him until justice has been served.
