A couple of months back I was browsing round my local PDSA shop (a charity which , in their own words supports ' pets in need of vets'). As much as I love watching movies , unless I am really desperate to watch a film , I would never buy a brand new DVD at full price. I would much rather wait a couple of months and pay half the price. One day at a meeting she is given the role of playing a student at her old high school ,whilst being an undercover reporter. Josie never fitted in at school when she was there the first time around , so what will happen when she goes back to school ? Watch Never Been Kissed to find out.
I found this movie really interesting to watch. I'm sure a lot of people would like to go back to school for a day or so to find out how things have changed. I found it interesting that Josie was considered a geek in school ; had no friends and had never had a boyfriend. However when she goes back to school it's completely the opposite for her now.
This film is so sweet and romantic. Josie falls for someone who falls for her too , but because of her being who she is and him being who he is , it's impossible for them to be together . If only he knew the truth! I just wanted to scream at the telly 'tell him!!' when I was watching it.
I'm sure absolutely everyone can relate to this film. It immediately gets you back thinking about your own high school things and makes you wonder what the whole school experience would be like now if you went back there. I found I kept comparing my 'high school days' to 'Josie's high school days!'
This movie is a real light hearted kind of movie which would be perfect for a sleepover or girls night in. However , to connect with it completely , I think that you would probably have to be someone who has left school , as the majority of the movie is comparing what school life was like. Although I'm sure a lot of people that are in school will connect with it too.

...good film I came across Never Been Kissed. As we usually do we looked it up on Ciao and found out that it looked to be our type of film. Plus the fact I could turn round to my husband and say "Never Been Kissed" at which we both looked at each other and laughed. It's like the joke where you say you're still a virgin when you know that's not true.
I'm going to try and not give too many spoilers away in my last film review I gave too many away and ... ...the film if you have never been kissed before you will feel ultimately that you are missing out on something. Something very good. This is a fun loving film with Drew Barrymore. At first it's a bit cheesy you sit there on your comfy settee wondering do I really want to watch this. Is anything going to happen? When's it going to start?

Advantages: Great fun, insightful, genuinely touching and often hilarious - and Drew Barrymore! :-) Disadvantages: Not many, unless you don't like romantic comedies.

This has got to be one of the best films to be released in the past few recent years. Personally I am not a big film watcher – but my wee sister begged me to watch this film with her – and believe you me I have no regrets in doing so.
The film is all about Josie Geller (played by the wonderful Drew Barrymore), a 25 year old reporter with the Chicago Sun Times newspaper. Josie is at the stage now in her career that she wants to make in ... ...sends her on her first undercover assignment – which is to return to high school and try to find a story – her editor suspects that a lot of possible headline news stories could be found in a High School.
So Josie returns to High school, as a 17 year old again, wearing a hidden camera, (not an easy task to do), but as she does so all the memories of her own days at High school come flooding back – and they are far from pleasant. ...

This is a fabulous combination of films - giving you the romantic comedy of 'First Daughter', starring Katie Holmes; then 'Just Married', with Brittany Murphy and Ashton Kutcher before finally ending with 'NeverBeenKissed', starring Drew Barrymore and David Arquette. My personal favourites are First Daughter and Just Married - depending on whether I want to watch something that makes me laugh and cry or just laugh!
I have only watched NeverBeenKissed once because I didn't find it funny and therefore didn't want to watch it again. However, if you are a fan of Drew Barrymore and high school fun your chances of finding this film amusing would be slightly higher than mine! There are amusing scenes and many awkward silences which add to the general humour of the dvd, but I personally found it childish and silly.
Just Married is ...
Advantages: Brilliant, a classic sci-fi movie Disadvantages: A little predictable.
DVD has a few extra bits in, the best being the automatic sentry guns. It's like shooting fish in a barrel.
I'm not going to spoil the movie for those few that have never seen it, but if you are into science fiction or horror films then buy this DVD. It is incredible. Special features of the disk include the restored footage and some behind-the-scenes stuf.

When I bought Chasing Liberty I wasn't looking to buy a DVD for myself... However I am a sucker for romantic comedies ever since falling in love with the film "NeverBeenKissed" and am forever looking out for more that are in the same league.
What I firstly noticed about the DVD cover was the couple on the front. I loved the way Moore's leg was laying over Goode's... so casual yet so full of meaning too. The backdrop of Europe was gorgeous too - as is Matthew Goode might I add!
This film is all about Anna Foster (Mandy Moore - singer and actress) who is the First Daughter - the President's daughter. She is a teenage girl who just wants to live and experience life like all other girls her age can. She want's to date, drink alcohol, go to clubs, and have fun but she is finding it impossible with her father's Secret Service ...
