Oh my goodness, how hard is this??? If you want a total body workout that you can really feel then this has to be the DVD for you. It is split into several sections (warm up, cardio, weights/mat work) and if you don't have the time or the stamina to complete the whole thing, you can still have a good workout doing what you can. The workout is done like a class, there's the instructor, Nell, and umpteen other people so you don't feel alone in the struggle to keep going! Thankfully there's no distracting talk from Nell and seeing her sweating along with you is encouraging!! The warm up is probably the most taxing warm up I have done, and it certainly gives you an idea of what is to come in the main cardio section. The cardio section has several "bail out" sections where you can stop the cardio should you wish. The first couple of times I did the workout this came in very handy, although on my third attempt I managed to do the whole thing and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be … as the cardio section progresses, there is less running on the spot, and more arm work, along with the killer squats that are done throughout the workout. The routines are easy to follow and repeated most of the way through the section. The challenge comes from the toughness of the exercises, rather than trying to follow what the instructor is doing. The weights and mat work section is manageable for most people I would say, you don't need to use weights if you are beginning, or if you don't have any. The mat work is challenging but fun and a welcome relief after all the cardio! It is a tough workout and the key is perseverance. Don't worry about bailing out of the cardio, if you do it regularly enough within no time you'll be able to do it all. And at the end of the day, a fitness DVD you can do perfectly the first time you try it, isn't going to keep your interest, or do you much good!

Hi. Good first review, in fact, excellent compared to mine! Just a few things came to mind: How long was the dvd, did you need much room, how much was it, where was the cheapest place to buy it etc. Basically, anything you think you would want to know if you were a potential buyer, include it! Cheers, Jayne *

Advantages: A really tough workout that works. Nell actually sweats and the exercises are very affective. Disadvantages: There are not enough stretches at the end of workout 2.
Advantages: This really is the ultimate work out video! A routine that builds stenght and stamina Disadvantages: So intense that you can easily become disheartened. You have to stick with it in the initial stages.
Advantages: Hard work, easy to follow routine, cheaper than a gym membership! Disadvantages: Need dumbells, some may see the cardio workout repetative.
