...This is an amazing series with breathtaking and beautiful shots of at nature fron all areas of the world - from the poles to the deserts. It is a DVD set that can be watched again and again, and you would still find something that amazes you about this Planet's ecology.
I enjoy nature documentaries but this one left me in such amazement of our planet. The BBC have spent so long making this, you appreciate the detail the film crew go into, as the scenes in this documentary are simply breathtaking, and you become in awe of mother nature. I highly recommend this series to people of all ages, as I think everyone should watch it, and gain an appreciation of our Planet Earth....

...Take Billy Pilgrim, our hero. And take him on a trip along his life. Travelling in time. OK, so we're in the realms of science fiction and we're staying there. The majority of Pilgrims travels we get to see are parts of his life when he was a GI who was captured during World War 2.
He's unlucky enough to get sent to Dresden and be there when it got bombed by the allies. (If it had nothing military there, WHY were they bombing it?). You get to see him travel to his childhood and even to the moment of his own death.
He's also abducted by sex obsessed aliens who just want to watch him mating. I haven't read the book so I can't compare the 2 but the film is good, It kept me glued to the story all the way through. Well worth a look....
