I don't know about you but I was overjoyed when I saw the trailer for National Treasure 2 as I enjoyed the 1st instalment so much. If like me you love the treasure hunting, clue solving, puzzle completing, underground temple finding of films such as Indiana Jones and National Treasure you will love this. After seeing National Treasure 2 in the cinema, I couldn't wait to get it on DVD to watch it all over again.
I love the idea that there are hidden temples and passageways belonging to ancient tribes and groups right before our eyes and if we have the right direction or look hard enough we could find them. National Treasure 2, like the first brings this to the cinema screen once again.
This time around Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage) teams up once more with his father Patrick (Jon Voight), partner Abigail Chase (Diane Kruger) and side kick Riley Poole (Justin Bartha) to set the record straight about his ancestors wrongly accused as being apart of the Abraham Lincoln assassination. To do this they must unlock the mystery within the John Wilkes Booth diary.
Once more there are hidden clues in national landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty and Mount Rushmore, and also in hard to get places such as Buckingham Palace and the Oval office. Unlocking these clues leads to underground tunnels and paths to forgotten treasures. Only the finding of these treasures will help set the truth free.
If you are looking for an action and adventure film with plenty of mystery and clue solving this is the film for you. Disney has created another great family film, which is extremely enjoyable to watch!
