After seeing Mystery Men in the cinema I couldn’t wait until it came out on video. I was going to buy it on video then I bought myself a DVD Player, so I bought it on DVD. I am glad I did, the extra features than you gain with the DVD are excellent.
Along with the film, you also gain the footage that the editor took out of the film, seeing this is very useful and the film makes a lot more sense than it did before, it was a shame it was taken out. Also on one of the audio channels the director talks you through what he was trying to achieve. Also packaged with in the DVD is a background to the Mystery Men comic books.
The film is packed with lots of stars from the American independent film, along with more classical actors. This makes for a comical combination and is a highly entertaining film.
The computer-generated images in this film are very good as so is the make up and props. This all makes for a film that looks as good as it is.
This may not be to everyone’s taste as the humour is quite strange, if you are not tuned into the humour then there is not point even watching the film. I know many people who think this is the worst film they have ever seen. Any way, see it before you make a judgement about the film it is highly entertaining.

errr...well I think you'll find the answer is yes it is worth it. Extra's can be superb on a disk giving more insight into the film plus extra scenes, which in many instances are superb. Plus the picture and sound quality is incredible over poor VHS playback. Anyway back to the op., very good mate!.

What is it with people and DVD? I can't understand it - it costs loads just to get the player and then the actual videos to go with it cost twice the price of normal vids! Sure there are a few extra 'features' but is it really worth it?
