Advantages: GCSE Revision Disadvantages: Awful Film
...Awfully slow book, awfully slow film. Poor acting except little Eppie who steals the show, definitely would not recommend it.
Poor choice of book to convert to film, weak direction and weak acting leave this film as an injustice to George Eliot's works. The person that decided to produce this must have been conned as this amount of claptrap is truly unforgivable in modern cinema. However if one is studying the GCSE English Literature and has Silas Marner as one of your texts, firstly I offer you my comiserations and secondly if you cannot be bothered to read the dreadful book this could be a good option just to get to know the story line, but over this I would recommend an audiobook as this is truly a dire film...

Advantages: Method Man and Redman in an excellent & funny comedy! Disadvantages: Based on drugs in some way...
...was Laurens boyfriend before Silas “took over”.
They continue with their good scores and popularity among most teachers until the “Ivory plant” gets stolen on a Halloween party.
Silas and Jamal have to start reading by themselves and it results in just F`s. They get put on a academic probation.
Silas starts working eagerly on an assignment in his botanical class and try to invent a truth serum. To find out how the film ends, you have to see it.
My opinion on this film is that it contains a little too much drug use and bad language, but all in all, the film is great to see if you’re not really “picky” on that. And if you want a big laugh, this is the film to see. (Not recommended for smaller children than 15, or sensitive people.)
When I saw it the first time, I didn’t like it, but chose to see it again, and liked it better.
So I recommend you...

Advantages: highly entertaining Disadvantages: none really, take the film with a pinch of salt !
...Having watched both of the ace ventura- pet detective series of films I must admit that both are hilariously funny. In my opinion, I presumed that there would be a 'hole' left in hollywood comedy following the untimely death of John Candy, famed for his roles in childrens comedy such as Uncle Buck. However, Jim Carey has proved in these films, in which he prats about playing a detective with unique powers capable of forming supernatural relationships with animals, that he can fill that role and assume, in my view, the title of best comedian in hollywood. These films are enjoyable and suitable viewing for the entire family, and are well worth a look.
Alternatively, if one likes Jim Carey's style I would also thoroughly recommend The Mask !...
