Guan-di  the Chinese protector of the dead with a
strange affinity for bean curd  has been awakened
by reckless teenagers  and now his bloody crusade
to wipe out the town's entire population can only
be stopped by one man - Bruce Campbell (the guy
who starred in all three Evil Dead movies and
Bubba Ho-tep)  B-move star and deadbeat ex-husband
extraordinaire  who's recruited to be their
unwitting savior. Thinking the whole scenario's a
publicity prank  Bruce is distracted from his
mission by a hot mom and fan boys aplenty - but
when our hero has to face off against a dark force

NAME IS BRUCE follows our hero, B-movie icon Bruce
Campbell, as he rescues the small mining town of
Gold Lick from the rampaging Guan Di, a Chinese
god of war and protectorate of bean curd (no
kidding), seeking revenge for the death of 100
Chinese miners in the town a century before.

County strip club owner Richard Chubby (Burt
Reynolds) to get ex-wife Joy out of a jam
involving stolen merchandise ("Jump for Joy").
Joy's struggle to evade prison will last all year,
during which Earl falls for her "hot professional"
lawyer (Marlee Matlin). Other highlights include
"Sticks&Stones," in which Earl gives a bearded
lady (Judy Greer) back her confidence, and
"Larceny of a Kitty Cat," in which the allergic
Randy dates a feline fancier (Amy Sedaris). When
that comes to an end, he finally works up the
nerve to tell motel maid Catalina (Nadine
Velazquez) how he really feels about her ("Foreign
Exchange Student').From the start, Earl attracted
a colourful array of talent. That trend continues
with Roseanne Barr as a nun ("Made a Lady Think I
Was God") and John Waters as a funeral director
("Kept a Guy Locked in a Truck"). Emmy nominees
Giovanni Ribisi and Beau Bridges also return for a
few episodes, along with other first-season
favourites, like Patty, the Daytime Hooker (Dale
Dickey). As with the previous set, there's a
bushel of extras, including deleted scenes,
