Anyone who is a fan of Julia Roberts is highly likely to enjoy this film as she is definately at her best. She stars alongside Cameron Diaz, Rupert Everett and Dermot Mulroney, all of which act really well in this film.
Roberts plays Julianne, a highly acclaimed food critic. She hears her best friend Michael (Mulroney) is about to get married to a slightly ditzy but lovely college grad Kimmy (Diaz) and promptly decides she is in love with him. She then enlists the help of her gay friend, played by Everett, to help break the couple up so she can steal him for herself, whilst taking a pivotal role in the wedding itself!
The film is not only very funny, but a bit of a tearkjerker. Don't want to spoil the film for anyone so won't go into too much detail but it is definately worth watching.
The music is excellent, particularly the Dionne Warwick bit! and includes songs such as, Say A Little Prayer, Tell Him, The Way You Look Tonight and I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself.
The film is available for rent at pretty much any video store, but I have seen it for as little as £3.99 to buy so it is definately worth getting so you can re-watch it!
A really good girle film.
