...Mutant is released under the "Hollywood" Dvd collection. These DVD's were most popular when DVDs were first starting to take over videos but were still priced considerably higher. These cheaper DVDs were around half the price but it does show in the movies. With action movies, such a low budget release would be forgotten but low budget horror movies have a much better quality and are far more entertaining. Mutant was released in a 3 DVD Hollywood boxset along with "Beyond the door 2" and "The grim reaper". Although it could be argued that "The grim reaper" was a scarier film, "Mutant" is far more entertaining. The story is simple enough, 2 brothers are travelling on holiday when they crash at a small redneck town. They expect to stay just the night but they start to uncover something sinister that is causing people to become ill...

It came to change man into mutants?..
A war followed and was just about won.
The machine was buried in the earth so it could do no more harm and there it waits??to be discovered.
The year is 2707 and four corporations rule the whole world and battle each other endlessly.
The movie begins with trench warfare and even though set in the future it clearly depicts that war never changes no matter what the time period. The fighting is Gruesome, pointless and with lots of carnage and death. Poison gas bombs, huge artillery and hand to hand combat. The fighting is fierce and then the 'Machine 'is found.
A portal opens and the mutants begin to escape, suddenly the soldiers and not fighting each other they're fighting for their lives. The mutants have only one objective to butcher anything...

Advantages: Great laughs and slapstick humor Disadvantages: Can spoil the charm of the first movie

I was not particularly fond of the extras because I felt that it was more suited for children than adults. The game part was fun, but I have to admit that my little niece had more fun with that section than me!
Overall, I have to recommend those who want to watch this film to watch the first Lion King before. Otherwise, the whole charm and message of the first movie will be completely lost. The Lion king 11/2 is more like the Scary Movie series- taking a movie and incorporating it into a new plot to poke fun at certain instances in the first film. But it is truly a refreshing and nice storylines with great laughs and one-liners. Highly recommended to those who already...
