A multicoloured film! Advantages: great music and story Disadvantages: none ...ipoints for the DVD of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat as it is a show that I have seen and loved a couple of times at the theatre and felt sure that my daughters would love it too - which they do! This DVD is really a must for anyone who is a fan of musicals especially those of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. I wasn't sure from the photos on the cover whether this was going to be showing an actual stage version but it's not. In fact ... ...few pieces of scenery. The Rocky Horror Picture Show/ Shock Treatment dvd set Advantages: rocky horror - Very original, funny, good soundtrack. Disadvantages: Shock treatment = v poor in comparison to rocky horror. just weird. I watched the rocky horror picture show at a friend's house and immediately loved it! Whilst looking to buy the DVD for myself, i came across this dvd set, with rocky horror and the added bonus of a related "sequel" to rocky horror called Shock Treatment. I hadn't seen Shock Treatment but thought I'd like it, with it being so closely related and with a lot of the same cast. Firstly, I must say that I loved rocky horror. Despite it being so popular ... ...what they've gotten themselves into, the others sing and dance their way through the film, which includes the legendary "Time Warp". As the film goes on though, feelings of resentment and desire become apparent which leads to some dramatic events! WHERE THE STREETS HAVE NO NAME Advantages: U2 in all their glory, raw and gritty! Disadvantages: Interviews are not particularly helpful ...not actually a fan of U2 until I saw this documentary film on TV. I quite liked a few of their previous songs, after seeing U2 perform on 'THE TUBE', a music programme in the early 80s. Being married at the time to a U2 fan, meant that U2 was blasted out most days, and I finally got the message! From here I worked forward enjoying follow up releases, such as 'Achtung Baby' and 'Zooropa' and working back via 'The Joshua Tree' to the 'Unforgettable ... ...join a band.
