Should have left it on the shelf! Advantages: erm.......... good songs Disadvantages: Weak plot and script, wooden acting ...any of them get the fame they so desperately want? Well the plot may sound a little basic but this is really all there is to the film. I did find there was a little about the student outside of school but it was mainly centred around the School and their school work. For me I was expecting a lot but was sadly disappointed. I know the film was made back in 1980 but for me it just looked very cheap and as if they had no interest in making a good script ... ...and Maureen Teefy Making of Fame Featurettes Fame Field Trip visit’s the school that inspired the movie Trailer I have watched any of these so I am not able to make comment on the, The running time of the film is 128 minutes and I personally found this was very long and at times I was very bored. The certificate is a 15 and I do agree with this as there is a lot of strong language and moderate nudity. Bugsy Malone Sing Along is a must buy! Advantages: Subtitles for all the songs Disadvantages: It makes you wish you were a better singer and dancer! The Bugsy Malone Sing Along Edition is a must buy for any fan of the film!! I just bought it for my boyfriends birthday and he hasnt stopped playing the songs ever since.. The basic idea is you can watch the film as normal, or have the option to go to a screen where you can select the song you want to hear and see. The song you choose starts and subtitles come up at the bottom of the screen so you can sing along to all the words. Bugsy! Advantages: Fun storyline, catchy songs. Disadvantages: N/A I first watched Bugsy Malone as a kid and I loved it. I suspected I remembered this film through 'rose tinted glasses' so I decided to buy it and watch it again. I'm glad that I did because it was as good as I remembered it. A parody of 'gangster' films and characters, this was a musical film originally released in 1976 which was loosely based on the events during the prohibition era in the United States. All of the characters were played by children ... ...Dandy Dan (Martin Lev) and Bugsy Malone (Scott Baio) who is enlisted to help Fat Sam and his mob overcome Dandy Dan's crew. Dandy Dan has acquired 'splurge' guns and is taking down Fat Sam's mob one by one.
