All-Black Version Of Wizard Of Oz

Advantages: The array of legendary stars
Disadvantages: Too much schmaltz!

The Wiz (1978) was a hip, modernised, all-black version of L. Frank Baum's famous fantasy, adventure story, The Wonderful Wizard Of (first published at the dawn of the century). We all know of course that the best version of this famous childrens story will forever be the delightful Judy Garland classic of 1939. Though brave and ambitious, The Wiz in it's favour is a diverse though failed experiment to bring the story into a more contemporary setting. ...

I think this film is Great! it suits everyones tastes and can be enjoyed by all young and old!.Its also a film one finds oneself being able to watch over and over again! and you may even find yourself singing to the songs and maybe doing some of the actions too!^^ lol.this film is also colourful and great for whatever the mood! Review of The Last Waltz (DVD)

Its greased lightening

Advantages: great songs, and good acting
Disadvantages: none

...appears in both of the grease films and she is just great, she plays such a good funny but dim character, she can't sing well, but her character is just so lovable and is played so well. I would class Frenchy as also one of the main leads, as she is in the film a lot. Her character is just so different to everyone else. She makes this character different, and she makes you really believe she is as thick as she is loll. Dinah Manoff as Marty Maraschino ...
...even named High School Musical Grease 3. The film has a PG rating so is suitable for most ages, and runs for 110 Minutes. The film really is good fun to watch and I just love sitting down and relaxing with my kids to watch these types of films. I have seen both grease films and I loved them both, and will probably watch one of them again over the weekend. ...not already a fan of Bruce Springsteen, you may not appreciate the early content, as the quality is not of such a high quality as more recently produced videos. I however enjoy watching it even now. The lyrics Springsteen writes are often about people struggling for freedom from the lives they are leading, and pressures they are under they also contain lots of personal subject matter.
