Come to the Cabaret!

Advantages: Different from other musicals.. and great songs!
Disadvantages: Quite dark in some places

Review of Cabaret - 30th Anniversary Special Edition (DVD)

Breath-taking gig that all music fans should see

Advantages: Fantastic gig, vintage Floyd, rare footage, interesting take on a classic film
Disadvantages: 5:1 surround sound would have been nice, no real band involvement

Advantages: A star - studded cast, value for money format.
Disadvantages: ?

...***MY OPINION*** Cabaret is more than a musical, it is a tough, satirical, acrid and provoking show, I found it racy and very sexy. As a background to the entertainment some insights into life in pre Nazi Germany as the Nazi party rise to power. An eerie, glowing tinderbox full of grinning souls and desperate laughter. Review of Cabaret (DVD)

No-Man in concert an experience not to be missed!

Advantages: A great live DVD for lovers of crafted, beautiful music.
Disadvantages: Not long enough!

No-Man are (currently) Tim Bowness and Steven Wilson, a UK duo who have an occasional recording partnership that spans over 20 years. Nine, Nein!

Advantages: Excellent cast, wonderful acting, amazing scenes, musical numbers
Disadvantages: Boring, really really boring.
