innocence. How well do you really know your father?Following the release of some secret Russian WWII records 'Mike Laszlo' (Armin Mueller-Stahl) finds himself accused of being a notorious war criminal. Linda Ronstadt was America's sweetheart of the 1970s, because she was able to combine a ... more
pretty face, a pretty voice and a safe personality. Her songs might be full of big notes and high emotions, but they satisfied every predictable expectation of a love ballad or good-time rocker. Mariah Carey is America's sweetheart of the 1990s for the exact same reasons. Music Box topped the charts, yielding number-one singles like "Dreamlover" and "Hero." The titles, one a hollow Minnie Riperton knock-off and the other a stiff Barbra Streisand imitation, are tip-offs to Carey's reliance on untethered fantasy (she's the fantasizer in the lyrics and the fantasy object in the videos). These songs, co-written and co-produced like most of the album by Walter Anasieff and Carey herself, are constructed to show off her dizzying soprano, not to provide an original approach to a well-worn subject. Even when she gets a strong ballad to sing, like her current singles--Babyface's "Never Forget You" or Badfinger/Nilsson's "Without You"--she overdoes the self-pity bit so much that the song loses its dramatic tension. --Geoffrey Himes

The First Series 1 to 7 Box Set is stuffed with over 50 different episodes listed below. The great thing about this Box Set is that there is no particular order you must follow.
There is a vast range of story lines for you to follow which do not overlap with episodes. You could start in reverse order and I guarantee unlike other programmes,
you will fully understand from scene to scene without having a specific order to follow.
This will allow you and others to view episodes individually at your own choice and leisure.
Here you have an almost complete package of Classic British Comedy for both teenagers and adults.
The only thing missing is that it does not feature each & every episode ever made for BBC Television.
But the Box Set is a great introduction to those who have unfortunately not as of yet discovered 'Only Fools & Horses' as ...
Advantages: Great story, good actng, good music Disadvantages: Hugh Grant's vocals are average
predictable and both me and hubby had worked the ending out after only watching about the first half hour but this did not really bother either of us and it was still nice to watch.
The music in the film was very good and I did like some of the old 80?s songs which were played and also the current tracks. I think this added a lot to the film. The film was set in the present day so not much time and effort was needed for the settings and costumes and they all did look very nice and fitted in well with the story. I did find the shots which were supposed to have been from the 80?s looked authentic and the costumes were great and they certainly showed what crazy clothes people used to wear!
The DVD which we have does have some bonus material which includes:-

Advantages: Much better quality than VHS Disadvantages: Absolutely none
For all of my life I have been a laurel and hardy fan. I was an advocate of the "old fashioned" vhs videos and had a great collection of all of the boys films, which I treasured, but was reluctant to play in case they got damaged. This new dvd boxset has been a godsend, in being concise, hard wearing, and excellent quality, so much so in I have even started given film shows, and lending the films out, to my sons to get them into carrying on the tradition of loving these great comedy genuises. There is even a range of colourised films included, which to a die hard B+W film lover was a shocking concept, but I must admit it was great to see the boys in the digitised colour versions of all of their classic films. My advice to all the L+H fans out there is to grab a boxset while they are available and give yourselves a treat. ...
