Even if you watched this when it first came out on TV believe me being able to watch each episode as and when you are ready is mind boggling. In fact if you have a couple of days to spare sit down and enjoy the whole series in one go. Each episode ends on a cliffhanger and you can't wait to get on to the next disc. Daniel Benzali as Ted Hoffman is brilliant, no praise too high for his acting and for me he made the series. I was bitterly disappointed when he didn't appear in Series 2 - he has such a presence on screen you are there with him every step of the way. I couldn't remember "who dunnit" from the TV series but don't spoil it for yourself by watching the last episode first.
Advantages: 1794 minutes of gripping TV Disadvantages: Hours lost as you are hooked to the TV
...closet and the case might not be as simple as first thought.
The other cases include a murdered NBA Owner where the suspect is one of the teams superstars and also the trial of a serial killer whose victims were all vicious criminals.
The second season, whilst entertaining loses a little of its appeal due to the absence of Hoffman and Cross. Anthony LaPaglia is a fine actor (as seen in "Without a Trace"), however, the programme is not the same without Daniel Benzali. Like the first season I found myself watching several episodes at a time and therefore it is just as addictive.
The second season can be judged on it own merits and is a good show in its own right, you don't have to seen the first season in order to enjoy this.
With boxset DVD's getting cheaper all the time this is well worth a viewing....
