I am usually not that keen on fantastic action movies. That's why I was so sceptical from the start about going to watch this one, but my friends who have watched Mummy 1 (or whatever it is called) persuaded me to go. First of all we had to queue for about 30 (well I guess it was Friday night and West End in London). Anyway I just cannot believe how boring the film was!!!!!!! The storyline was very predictable and the fight scenes would just go on for ages and ages!!! I couldn't leave because I had to wait for my friends. I guess maybe it's just me not being keen on this sort of movies. However most of my friends didnt like it as well and all of them said that the first Mummy movie was much better (they still haven't persuaded me to watch it!!! :) Ok, I have to admit that the graphics and special effects were impressive, but I don't think it's enough to make a good movie.

Thanks for all the comments, I did not want to write much about the storyline, because I thought there wasn't one! As the title says "The Mummy returns, chases everyone around and tries to kill thme!!". Oh and the bad people try to fight with the good people. Sorry, no prizes for guessing who won!

I can't say I agree, as I thought the film was really just a bit of unbelieveable, nonsensical fun. You don't really get much in the way of great story telling in these kinds of film, so you can't expect too much in that department.
Advantages: New graphics, great followup, great storyline, goes into depth where many movies haven't Disadvantages: The Scorpion king later in the film looks badly made
Advantages: brilliant acting, great special effects, tonnes of special features, cheap Disadvantages: feels as if special effects are prioty over acting, storyline wasn't as good
