As soon as I heard that a sequel to the exciting first movie was coming out I didn't hesitate to rush to the cinema and check it out. I was not dissapointed, this a roller coaster ride of a film and although it won't be praised for the script, it sure is great fun to watch. There is a plot in this film about some Scorpion King (WWF's the Rock!), who lost a battle and asked the gods to keep him alive and he would awaken in 3000 years, and a boy who has the Scorpion King bracelet and will die unless he gets to a certain place at a certain time but as you can tell I didn't follow the plot very well because you don't need to. This film could almost be compared to Indiana Jones with it's exotic locations and real adventurous feel. The special effects really glue your eyes to the screen and the action sequences will keep you on the edge of your seat. This is a really good film for kids but it is also very good for adults as the dry wit of some of the main characters may lead to a chuckle or to. Overall I would say this is a must see film and I would go to see it at the cinema as a video view would not do this film justice. It needs to be seen in all its splendour on the big screen. Highly recommended.

Advantages: brilliant acting, great special effects, tonnes of special features, cheap Disadvantages: feels as if special effects are prioty over acting, storyline wasn't as good
