It appears that every child in Northern Ireland has required hospitalisation over the last few weeks - we've been run into the ground in work. Plus staff off sick = me doing extra shifts = no time to ciao!

Disney has done it again! Another wonderful animated movie, their 36th to be exact, based on the ancient legend of a young Chinese girl called Mulan.
Mulan has to be one of the best animated movie's ever made - and it gets better each time you watch it. As with many Disney movies there are a lot of small things thrown in here, there and everywhere, which you only notice after watching a few times.
Mulan tells the story of a young girl who goes to war to spare her father. She dresses as a man, and runs off to join the army. Mulan’s ancestors are convinced that she is going to dishonour the family name, so they set about finding the most powerful and wise guardian to help her on her way. Mushu - a dragon, voice by Eddie Murphy, is a guardian who has been disgraced and wishes to earn his place back with the guardians again. To cut a long story short, Mushu ends up going with Mulan. On the way Mulan encounters many people who will become her friends (particularly the comedy trio that she trains with), and some deadly enemies, as they fight to save the life of the Emperor and ultimately save China. Can the Captain train these "misfits" to become the best army in China? It’s a story of adventure, fun and romance, with Mulan falling for the captain of the army, but will anyone find out her secret? If they do, the penalty will surely be death.
This movie is so good for kids and Adults alike (with a U rating)- Mushu is very funny, making jokes that both children and adults will appreciate. Excitement is provided in the fight scenes with the Huns, and classic animation which can only be provided by Disney.
The Soundtrack to the movie is great, as with all Disney ones you will find yourself singing along to them. My personal favourite from Mulan is "Make a man out of you".
There is everything from Excitement to Romance, Happiness to Heartache in this movie - Once again Disney has done a great job!
