MrMagoo is one of my favourite comedy films, released in 1998, and it?s rare that I will actually find a supposed ?comedy? film funny and worth watching again. It stars Leslie Nelson as the main character of MrMagoo, of whom, is based on the cartoon character of ?Quincy Magoo?. The film starts with a little opening with this cartoon character before the actors take over. Neilson brings warmth and humour to the character, as well as a tonne if laughs. He plays the part so well!
Magoo is a very rich partially blind man who has made his fortune from canned veg. This isn?t a major factor in the film, other than the fact he drives a giant aubergine shaped car! The humour relies on the partial blindness of Magoo and also, his bumbling charming character that appears quite dippy but at the same time, heart-warming - you can?t help but ...

Advantages: Festive and fun book based on a classic Disadvantages: None
A ChristmasCarol is a lovely little book in the Mr Men collection 'With added Sparkle'. The cover of the book has a picture of Mr Happy and Mr Mean pulling a sleigh full of presents and the title above this in green and red lettering. The back cover of the book is white and has small pictures showing other titles available in this collection.
The book begins by asking us if Mr Mean has any money, we find out that he has lots which he keeps hidden under his floorboards. He hardly spends any of his money and all he buys to eat for every meal is a can of beans. He even eats them cold as he is too mean to put his cooker on.
Mr Mean has all of this money as he owns a factory which makes piggy banks, he hardly pays his staff any money at all and he only lets them have one day off every year which is Christmas day, he even thinks that ...
Advantages: Looks very Christmassy, Well Directed Disadvantages: The people look creepy
take my younger sisters and brother to go see The Fantastic Mr. Fox but because we were late this was the only thing showing and I really wasn't looking forward to it. A ChristmasCarol has almost been done to death. There are innumerable films and almost every sitcom or cartoon has done it?s own little version of the story. I remember last year, even Holby City had an A ChristmasCarol style story.
BUT
I liked it. Why? I don?t know.
Well I do. It takes this worn out story and tells it like it is but really brings it to life. My personal favourite versions of the tale would be Scrooged and A Muppet?s ChristmasCarol both of which really make the story their own and retell it their own comical way but this film stays rather irresolutely to the original story. Word for word dialogue in large sections. Yet this is not why this ...
