I think Adam Sandler is a great performer. Not the best actor, but he sure is a funny guy. Throughout these 3 discs he performs alongside some great names including Winona Ryder, and Jack Nicholas.

I bought these DVDs just a few days ago, I had previously had these films on VHS, but we all know that's "out-of-fashion" now.

-----Anger Management-----

After a small misunderstanding aboard an aeroplane which escalates out of control, timid business man Dave Buznik (Sandler) is ordered by the court to undergo anger management therapy at the hands of specialist Dr. Buddy Rydell (Jack Nicholas). Dave reluctantly accepts the doctor's councelling, but after another mishap Buddy steps up his aggressive and unorthodox treatments by moving in with Dave. As Buddy wreaks havoc with every aspect of his life, Dave must decide whether to crawl back into his shell or finally stand up for himself.
I thought Jack Nicholas's performance was on top form, he's a very funny chap.

-----Mr. Deeds-----

Small town guy Longfellow Deeds (Sandler) goes to the big city to collect a $40 billion inheritance from a long lost uncle. Living in a palatial mansion with the services of an unusual personal butler (John turturro) isn't too bad. Things get even better when he meets a beautiful school nurse (Winona Ryder). But money changes everything, and things aren't what they seem.
Its up to Deeds to straighten everybody out- with a few right hooks and lots of common sense.

I have to say that this is my favourite out of the three films. It is packed with so many memorably comical moments. For example, when Amilio the butler stabs Deed through his frost bitten foot. HA HA, you'd have to see it for yourselves. lol

------Big Daddy-----

Thirty-two-year-old Sonny Koufax (Sandler) has spent his whole life avoiding responsibility. But when his girlfriend dumps him for an older man, he's got to find a way to prove he's ready to grow up. In a last-ditch attempt to impress her he adopts a 5-year-old, but she's not impressed and he can't return the kid!

This film also contains very funny moments, my favourite parts involved both Sonny and "Frankenstein" throwing sticks into the paths of on-coming skaters.

I really enjoyed these films, Adam Sandler is one of those actors you could just watch over and over again, because his style is so refreshing it avoids the pitfalls of conventional comedy (such as repitition and gradual boredom).

As I have already mentioned the stories are quite original, certainly to me, I personal loved the storylines but I do understand that other people may have different perspectives and ideas on the subject.

All of the characters were seamless in their performances, except maybe the boy who played the adopted kid in "Big Daddy", but I feel his performance blossomed throughout the film. In-all, the actors performed brilliantly.

My favourite special effect was on Anger Management when the Buddy "nudged" the car blocking them in on-top a multistoried car park. The car continued to roll until it reached the edge of the building, when it then proceeded to fall to the street below. The CGI was brilliant, at first I genuinly thought it was a real car.
This, however is taken from one film. The other two didn't really use a great deal of special effects and so I would have to mark the effects as "Good".

As I am to believe, some of the tracks in these films were recorded especially for these films, for the purpose of enhancing the viewing pleasure. They did just that, I think people forget how much difference a good soundtrack really makes to a movie.

I have already seen the film "click", it was hilarious (totally recommended by the way). I would compare these films as equal to it, therefore these were outstanding. lol

The director of Anger Mangement was Peter Segal, he has done work with Adam Sandler before and since Anger Management, including "50 first dates", and "Longest yard". These films were really well produced and of equal standard to "Anger Management".
Steven Brill directed "Mr. Deeds" and directed "Big Daddy" alongside Dennis Dugan. I would say that these two films were their best work when I look at their pat works. These do include "Saving Silverman", and "The Mighty Ducks" for crying out loud!!

I bought this 3 disc set for £13.98, this is excellent bargain when considering the amount of laughs you are bound to have. HA HA HA.

Thankyou for reading my review, its very much appreciated. Please feel free to leave any comments you feel are relavent.
